August 8, 2010. 3 Balls, A Retired Jersey, and the Flag Lady. Last night Spencer and I went to the D-Backs games. It just so happened that it was the night they retired Luis Gonzalez's jersey. After some fun during batting practice, we went to Friday's for dinner. Just as we were finishing up, they started the jersey retirement ceremony. We went out on the Friday's balcony to watch. Here's a picture of Spencer, seconds after they revealed Gonzalez's number 20 (it's just above Spencer's right shoulder).

GARNS FAMILY: Halloween Fun '10
http://garnsfamily.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloween-fun-10.html
October 31, 2010. Picking out our pumpkins. The boys become very protective over their pumpkins and take pride in choosing, just the right one. Checking our pumpkin height. We have some pretty talented pumpkin carvers. TRICK-OR-TREATING at Marley Farm. Jack, Sam, Kaden, Spencer, and Ashy. Ashy loved riding the horse in his Captain Rex costume. Wanted to be like you! And sure enough, we took our yearbook (called: Genesis 1989-1990) and took the liberty of googling you. All the best,. May 4, 2012 at 9:54 AM.

August 9, 2010. A year and a half ago I had some medical problems that resulted in having to have a hysterectomy. However, a few months ago I started having this feeling that we are NOT complete! This didn't help matters much because even if I could have had another baby there is no guarantee it would have been a girl. And even though I still felt like someone was missing, I didn't have a way for that baby to get here. Awe, but we do. Responsibility, and a Huge. It hit me and I started to cry. That spiri...

The Bird Family: January 2009
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 28, 2009. We are going to raise the ceiling in the kitchen and put in can lights. So right now we have no ceiling in our kitchen. It looks great as you can see. While we have no ceiling, the weather decided to get very cold in Texas. It was 19 degrees this morning so we huddle in our bedroom with a space heater since the opening to the attic allows much cold in the house. But we think it will be fun when it is done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Things my dad taught me or said. Every yea...

Sunday, April 27, 2008. Bedside Manner and other thoughts. Go to the emergency room if you think it is bad enough. So we decided that we would just stay home and watch it and see if we can make it through the weekend. We cancelled the birthday dinner. Mark decided not to stay for the night. Amy and Andy bought us the Blizzards and we hunkered down for the night. The night went great and we are grateful for every ones support. Saturday, April 26, 2008. Thursday, April 24, 2008. The Bird Family: July 2008
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. New Braunfels is a german town and so we had to eat out at a German resturant. It was called Oma's Haus (Grandmother's House). I had wurst and potato pancakes and Carolyn had Snitzel. It was a fun experience to relive some of the time in Germany. Then we went shopping to get some groceries for meals on Tuesday and breakfasts for the trip. Wednesday we went to San Antonio. We went to the Alamo. This shows Morgan, Tanner, and Andrew in the worlds biggest tire. After our Safari, we ...

Thursday, May 29, 2008. A little bit of Love. Tuesday, May 6, 2008. A language lover's story. As I am very interested in language development in children, I have to share a Matthew story with you. Saturday, May 3, 2008. The end of the week has been much better than the first. Carolyn had several tests run and it was determined that she had several different bacteria in the wound on her foot. So they changed the medication and she seems to be getting better. We hope that it continues. A little bit of Love.

The Bird Family: My Dad
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-dad.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. I have tried since the death of my dad to sit down and write a little about his last few weeks here with us but have found it very difficult to do. However, I feel a great need to write some of the last things that my dad taught me as he and my mom and my family have been the great teachers in my life. Around the first of January, my sister and I talked and she suggested that we might want to come to Phoenix and visit with dad. Arrangements were made for dad to return to his home ...

My Day For Boys: Visit to the Ghost Town
http://dallenfam.blogspot.com/2013/05/visit-to-ghost-town.html
My Day For Boys. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Visit to the Ghost Town. We decided to kick off our Spring Break with a day trip to the Goldfield Mine ghost town. The boys had a great time exploring! It ended up being a really cold day with a light drizzle, but it didn't dampen our fun at all! Our little picnic spot. Daddy and the big boys got to ride the train. Carter and Mom hung out in the warm gift shop! We all toured the old mine. The boys thought it was amazing! How cute are these boys?
