Adventures, stories and a little bit about me…. I think I’m going to Kathmandu…. Well vacation isn’t always rosy but I am glad that the beginning of my trip to Nepal wasn’t an accurate depiction of what was to come…so without further ado, beginning with the bad and ending with the good:. Lessons learned: make sure to ask if the company does plan on flying because they will sell you a ticket irregardless; contingency plan is key; expect the unexpected; and try not to do anything regrettable. Morning comes...

Adventures, stories and a little bit about me…. Partners’ Forum Meeting. Our initial purpose for visiting the Sylhet area was to attend our quarterly Partners’ Forum Meeting. We flew from Dhaka via the notorious Biman Airlines which only took about 45 minutes by plane…the return trip via car wasn’t so fast, totally 4 hours of driving and 4 hours of traffic! On the bright side, the scenery is beautiful. First day with primary partners. DAM's manager 17th anniversary celebration! Group Photo of Attendees.

Adventures, stories and a little bit about me…. In early October I traveled with a few colleagues to visit one of Phulki. 8216;s (a primary partner) factory-based childcare centre in Shiddirgonj, Narayongonj ( Upazila, District. The centre is relatively close to Gulshan, Dhaka (where I work and reside) but with traffic and poor road conditions it took up most of our day traveling to/from the site. Taking a break from the heat😉. Why is this impressive? Because the oldest child was around 2 years! All of ...

We also had the opportunity of visiting a tea garden and getting the full tour of how tea is processed. It was really fascinating, however I don’t have photos to share be...The col...
