Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Cream Filled Devil Food Cupcakes. I'm not a chocolate frosting lover but my daughter wanted me to make some for a party so I decided to experiment. I used a package of Devils Food Cake for the cupcakes, filled them with a vanilla cream and topped them with a very rich chocolate frosting. She loved them. I found the cream filling recipe here. And the chocolate frosting recipe here. Cream Filled Devil Food Cupcakes. Prepare 1 package of Devils Food Cake (24 cupcakes) and let cool.

I was in charge of bringing dessert to a family dinner and decided to bring cupcakes to celebrate the many birthdays we have in May. I did bring my favorite Key Lime Cupcakes. And I wanted to bring carrot cupcakes. I used my Grandma Sperry's carrot cake recipe which Melanie posted a while back. I did a little bit of experimenting and these turned out great. Use this recipe for the carrot cake batter. Apricot Cream Cheese Filling.

7CooksInAKitchen: Pizza Spiral Rolls
http://7cooksinakitchen.blogspot.com/2015/07/pizza-spiral-rolls.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. We have had grandchildren visiting this month and are off doing plenty of fun things. For lunches instead of sandwiches I decided to make pizza rolls. I have always made pizza bubble bread but I like these rolls for lunches. I have put lots of different ingredients into a cinnamon roll format, some sweet some savory, over the years and they all usually turn out great but these are my favorites. 2 1/2 - 3 cups flour. 1 tsp Dough Enhancer. 1 1/2 TB Wheat Gluten. Preheat oven to 450.

Friday, August 7, 2015. Plus I am not a candy maker as my children will attest. This is my one claim to fame, good caramel corn. Over the years I've tried other recipes and for a long while we would make the baking soda caramel corn recipe which you then cook in the oven but I went back to this one. I keep sweetened condensed milk on hand just for this recipe. 1 can sweetened condensed milk. 2 1/4 cups brown sugar. 1 cup light Karo syrup. Pinch of salt (I use a scant 1/4 tsp). 7CooksInAKitchen: Bread Pudding
http://7cooksinakitchen.blogspot.com/2015/06/bread-pudding.html
Wednesday, June 24, 2015. This is a pretty classic bread pudding. I loved that the bread wasn't soggy! I really think it is the sauce that really puts this over the top though - perfect fit with the bread pudding! 1 TBSP brown sugar. 1/4 cup butter, melted. 1 1/2 cups heavy cream. 5 slices thick bread, cut up into 1 inch sized pieces, dried out! So the dried out bread is key that way your bread doesn't go soggy! Also I used Texas toast and it was perfect! 2 cups powdered sugar. 160;I made a recipe that m...

Sunday, April 12, 2015. Asian Chicken with Cauilflower rice. This is a fantastic recipe - so yum! The cauliflower rice was just the best and the chicken had a great sauce that fit perfectly with the cauliflower rice. This recipe is a total keeper! Asian Chicken with Cauliflower Rice. 1 Tbsp sesame oil. 4 large chicken thighs, boneless with skin removed (or I have used chicken breasts and it worked too). 1 Tbsp soy sauce. 1 tsp finely grated orange zest. 1 Tbsp rice vinegar. 1 Tbsp brown sugar. Sunday, June 30, 2013. Grilled Hawaiian Teriyaki Burgers. This is my new favorite burger. The teriyaki sauce is delicious. I really need to work on my picture taking skills. Grilled Hawaiian Teriyaki Burger. 2 lbs lean ground beef. 1/2 cup grated carrots. 1/2 cup chopped green onions. 1 tsp fresh grated ginger (I used 1/4 tsp. dry). 1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce. http://7cooksinakitchen.blogspot.com/2011/10/fish-tacos.html
Monday, October 3, 2011. Cover fish with spices. My daughter did this. Drizzle olive oil over frozen fish. This is a recipe I have cooked probably once a month for the last 4 years. My mom posted it years ago on our old blog. I've adapted it and I measured the ingredients this time so I could post it. This is my sons favorite thing to eat for dinner! He is pretty picky so it surprised me he likes it- but I"ll take it! Recipe adapted from a Cooking Light Recipe. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. 1 tsp onion powder.
