Life in our House. Monday, January 17, 2011. VERY late in coming: Italy part 2. Amiee traveled to Rome and Naples, Italy in late October. She spent the first part of the 10 day trip in Rome with Karami. She then traveled to Naples to attend a training on one of the military bases there. Here is the rest of the photos:. Brent also got Thursday, beginning of Eid, off and he and I exercised together (Jillian Michaels kicked our hineys! And just spent day together relaxing. Life in our House. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. For Brent's birthday, he and I went on a 36 hour get away together to Alexandria. We rode the train for 2 1/2 hours, then spent the rest of the time enjoying the coast, eating good fish, exploring and laughing together. Great trip! Fort of Alexandria- - dates back to Roman times. Amazing! View of Alexandria's harbor from the fort. There were a number of beautiful mosques in Alex. Brent by the Med. Sea. Amiee by Pompei's Pillar. Posted by Amiee House.

Christmas Eve means New Christmas Jammies. Our family tradition on Christmas Eve is to open one present and that present is usually new Christmas pajamas. The boys are always sure they know just what is in the present so after lots of tossing, hugging, and patting of their presents they open them up. After opening the present and putting on their new jammies the boys all had to demonstrate how awesome they were by jumping off the table at the bottom of the stairs. Grey gets some air. Christmas Day and he said NO PEEKING. The boys could enter the stairs from the top. They were amazed to step into a tunnel. They boys are getting ready to come down and see what Santa brought for them. A huge part of the Christmas fun was breaking down this wall and charging in to see the Christmas tree and all of the fun things they had waiting on the other side. Jeff is such a fun Dad. Goodbye Egypt, Hello Italy. We traveled down to the Amalfi Coast on the Mediterranean Sea. It was gorgeous and so much fresh air. I'm pretty sure our lungs didn't know what to do with all of that oxygen they were getting. We loved the terracing. These people built their homes and lives on these steep, steep hillsides. I'm jealous of everyone that gets to grow anything, but here growing food took on a whole new meaning. Overlooking the town of Amalfi or maybe it's Maiori. Another view of the flooding.
