Sunday, December 8, 2013. Over the holiday, we took the kids to Surf Beach about an hour north of Santa Barbara. Guess we got tired of our local beaches and needed something different. So, while a lot of our family and friends are digging out of the snow, we weren't! Snow, I mean sand angel. Avrey always putting on a show. This was sand dollar heaven. Sunday, September 8, 2013. Well we have survived the first few weeks of school! Our favorite thing is that we get to walk to school. Kaden so excited to be in first grade! He was so excited that on the first day he woke up at 5:30 am to get ready to go. At the end of the day he said his favorite things were eating lunch at school with Trey and having 3 recesses. Trey happy to be in third grade! So far it has been a great school year and we can't wait to see all the adventures that await us this year!

Tuesday, December 3, 2013. We had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving! We ended up staying home with our little family playing and enjoying way too much food! The fascination of the day was smoking the turkey! I don't think we realized how long it was going to take,(7 hours), but it was delicious! When the kids saw that the fine china had been set out for dinner they all went and put on more dressy outfits. I was so impressed! While we waited for our turkey to cook the kids made tie-dye t-shirts!

Saturday, June 29, 2013. After 2 pretty long days in the car we finally made it to Santa Barbara! We are so excited to be here and can't wait to start exploring our new area! Our hired help.Jeff's mom and dad were so nice to met up with us and come help us unpack. Without them I am sure it would take us a month to get everything done! First things first.the kids could not wait to get out to our orange tree so we could have fresh squeezed orange juice. A little sour! Kaden graduated from Kindergarten.

Friday, August 30, 2013. For one of our final summer activities we took the kids beach camping! I was a little nervous about sleeping right down on the beach so luckily we were able to find a spot up on a bluff but still had access to the beach. The best part was that it gave the kids so much room to play and explore and these boys were in HEAVEN! There was a lot of rocks and ledges.safe ledges.for them to climb on. Sunday, July 14, 2013. Land (and house) that we love! The 4th of July is one of our favorite holidays! We had a fun time this year exploring all of the activities around our new area. We started the day off right and made homemade jolly rancher suckers because we needed a treat for our annual movie outing. we saw 'Monsters University'. After a few naps we headed to the local festivities and enjoyed fun games, a live concert and amazing fireworks. Rocking out near the stage with a live band. A Year of FHE.

Monday, March 25, 2013. A Glimpse of Paradise. Recently, Jeff and I spent a week in Hawaii.without the kids! When we landed in the morning it was raining, and the rain went through the night. When we woke up, the sky was blue, and we went for a "power walk" around the grounds of our hotel.our first glimpse of Hawaii sunshine!
