More Smiles per hour...:-): The Cup that counts...

More Smiles per hour.:-). Monday, April 04, 2011. The Cup that counts. It was the 13th of March, 1996. The target on the board was 252. Of those, 98 had already been knocked down at the cost of only one wicket. A cr0wd of 100,000 eagerly supported their hero. He had made 65 of those 98 and looked on course for a big 100. It was evident that the Little Master was trying hard to concentrate. But there was something not right. What was he thinking? Was he thinking about the upcoming final? That day, one of ...

More Smiles per hour.:-). Sunday, January 17, 2010. The Victor Boy is Back! So 2009 was the peak of the recession out here with zero posts! Sad, but that does not mean I have not been writing at all. I now have an alternate blog identity here. But the fact that today, my bike (The TVS Victor, which was the inspiration for this blog title) has been repaired today (after being out of order for the whole of 2009) marks a good occasion to make a comeback on this blog. :-). Newer posts →. Price me if you can! December 11, 2010. The best part of a wedding is the peek you get into what is probably the most inflated market in India. Directement zero to those who hollered “Real Estate! 8221;, as what I’m referring to is the Saree market. LOL, past master at it. 8220;Hey, how are you buddy? 8221; Dowri intoned, in tune with the gurgling coffee machine, which was merrily processing perfectly normal coffee beans into a fluid which tasted as if it was manufactured by Sri Dhanwantar...

Monthly Archives: March 2011. March 28, 2011. To Walk or not to Walk? A single droplet of sweat trickled down His brow before falling to the dry ground. As if to herald the fall, 30,000 cheers rang across the ground, and a freakish pipe-tune accompanied them. He knew that the Jamaican wanted Him at any cost. It had long since ceased to be a trifling sporting matter between the two of them. It was now as personal as the mutual relationship between Ricky Ponting and the Indian public. There were hundreds o...

Price me if you can! March 21, 2011. On the 18th day of the first month of the holy Tendulkarian year of 1998, a star was born. A young man from the by-lanes of Maharashtra blasted a boundary off the second* last ball of the match to give India an improbable victory over Pakistan and thus a trophy, which they rarely seemed to get those days. After that eventful day in January ’98, millions idolized Kanitkar. A lower-order batsman who could finally finish a chase! And what of Kanitkar now? There was one b...

Might of the Pen. IT's A BeAuTiFuL wOrLd, My dEaR. April 26, 2015. April 27, 2015. If I just have to live once, is it too much to wish for? If I can be a good friend and make good friends, I know my life would be more fulfilling. And what better place to start than with all the friends I have had in life. All of them hold a special place in my life. May God bless me again in this endeavour. These beautiful lyrics will keep motivating me to do just that. Yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai,.
