What it feels like to be in Layout…. Changing shots, post-storyboard. As we amp up the 3d production and go from the storyboards to the playblasts, we are discovering new issues and addressing old ones. A lot of problem-solving going on here: how to match the blocking/backgrounds/horizon lines of each shot; how to incorporate the matte paintings in the 3d world; how to apply the visual dynamism of the boards to the 3d world; etc! We have decided to drop the disease storyline and was told that it would be okay to keep going with our old one. I think it is working well.
