I do not like this spending spree,. I'm smart, I know that nothing's free. I do not like your smug replies,. Links to this post. The Adve...

http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2010/12/congratulations-paul.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. My nephew is retiring today from the Navy. He's been a Corpsman for 20 years, deployed numerous times with the Marines, and has dedicated his adult life to the service of his country. I am proud beyond words at his dedication and selflessness and wish him and his family all the best life has to offer as he transitions to a civilian life. Thank you for all you've done. Much Love, Gratitude, and Respect to you and your family,. Trip Pictures, ...

Dad's Daze: Happy Birthday.
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2010/11/happy-birthday.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. And in the spirit of celebration, I offer the following (stolen from a good friend's forwarded email):. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one. Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won't work. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun whose caliber does not start with a '4.'. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. US Air For...

Dad's Daze: Psalm 100
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2010/11/psalm-100.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Thursday, November 25, 2010. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Words From the Wise. American Son and Patriot.

Dad's Daze: Thanksgiving
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2010/11/thanksgiving.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: and his mercy endureth forever. Ps 136:1. Around our house, this is the prayer used to return thanks at the end of a meal. It's been tradition for at least 5 generations that I have witnessed, and I hope will remain one for many years to come. Prior to my grandparents, it was probably recited in German. Since it is Thanksgiving, I thought I might list a few things for which I'm thankful. The bra...

Dad's Daze: Gracie the Crippled Kitten
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2008/11/gracie-crippled-kitten.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Friday, November 21, 2008. Gracie the Crippled Kitten. Two weeks ago on Friday, I mentioned that one of the things on my "To Do" list was to play with Gracie the Crippled Kitten. A brief description and update on her condition follows. After a couple of days, it became obvious that she was not merely clumsy, but there was a medical problem. A trip to the vet later, she was back home with about 2 weeks worth of antibiotics, and a grim prognosis. Words From the Wise.

Dad's Daze: George the Cat
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2011/01/george-cat.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Friday, January 14, 2011. This morning we lost our long time companion George. As you can see from the picture, he had a tough life. When we got him as a kitten, he had trouble getting around on our hardwood floors, so we called him Gracie. Because he was the most graceless kitten you would ever want to see, and Marilyn thought he was a she. She became Queen of the House, terrorizing Wally, and shredding hands. Whenever she felt a need to exercise her claws. I think we ...

Dad's Daze: June 2010
http://dadsdaze.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Notes from the road less traveled. Monday, June 28, 2010. A Day Full of Good News. Just got an email from the rescue folks. They decided I was good enough for Leroy. We get to pick him up on Saturday after he's snipped on Friday. Time to scramble and get a kennel and stuff for him to tear up. Still more good news came out of Washington D.C.: Otis McDonald won his case before the Supreme Court. There was, however, some not-so-good news. Stay well, and take care of yourselves.
