Mama Thoughts: In All Things, Give Thanks
http://mamathoughts-sarah.blogspot.com/2008/02/in-all-things-give-thanks.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2008. In All Things, Give Thanks. Today's gratitude post will be short. There is a whole lot that I can say, but to be completely honest, today's bit of gratitude is an act of discipline. I am really in a lot of pain here and I can hardly straighten my arm. I do have a chiropractic appointment with a new chiro, so I am really really really hoping that he can do something about this tomorrow. And when he came back in I was passed out for more than an hour. Labels: a daddys love.

FROM LSD TO PTA. Big family, small house Part I. March 15, 2007. Yesterday, I had someone tell me that I am basically too selfish and insensitive to be a true and loyal friend. I do not posess the ability to deeply care for another. Comments like that are always strange. They cause this waterfall of responses. My first reaction is plain old, blood pumping anger. “What an asshole thing to say! And girls, if you didn’t get your messages…. Responses to “The waterfall”. Feed for this Entry. I knew when I rea...

FROM LSD TO PTA. March 13, 2007. So I’m borrowing a camera this week. Here are some up-to-date pictures of my boys. All badly in need of a haircut. Einstein: (Check out the eyebrows on this kid. Woah.). Animal: (Check out how much Pigpen and Animal look alike! Fully trained. Kind of. March 11, 2007. Well folks, it’s over. I have finally completed the last bit of training and the only thing that stands between me and certification is. Imaginary labors. I looked at the room, full of groups of three....

Mama Thoughts: The Beauty of Flora
http://mamathoughts-sarah.blogspot.com/2008/02/beauty-of-flora.html
Thursday, February 21, 2008. The Beauty of Flora. My Diva Child and Man Puppy are the two living things that have thrived under my care. Obviously, that is a very good thing, but I must admit I was somewhat nervous given my track record with plants. It turns out that Christmas cactus is the perfect plant for someone who tends to run hot and cold with the care. They like to be dried all the way out and then watered. My plant is right behind my sink. Every week or so when I am doing dishes I sa...I found t...

Mama Thoughts: June 2007
http://mamathoughts-sarah.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Just a bit more. So, I will be meeting with a surgeon in a week and a half. It is a second opinion of sorts. They will review the images and talk about what they feel is the best course of action here. The radiologist felt comfortable with a 6 month follow up of mammography and ultrasound. Having other physicians review the images and give their opinions can't be a bad thing. I have to say I feel very fortunate that I am at least getting appointments in short order. I feel s...

http://mamathoughts-sarah.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Wow, it's almost like magic. I really messed up my arm last week. I had an appointment with a new chiropractor conveniently. Scheduled for the day after my pain started. I am totally amazed at the turn around in my body. I was nearly 100% better after my adjustment. I went back today and I am even better still. I am really grateful. That I have such good health and that my body was so receptive to the chiropractic work. Monday, February 25, 2008. Warm soup on a cold day. We ar...

Monday, February 26, 2007. I am not sure that my eyes can roll enough. So I don't generally look to MySpace. To tell me what is moral and upstanding these days. In fact, the only reason I have a MySpace. That being said, apparently breastfeeding. Mothers are the new 'bad girls' of My Space. That's right everyone. No matter all the half dressed drunken pics of 17 year olds. How boring. I get that breastfeeding isn't going to be everyone's. Cup of tea. That's fine. It's the stupid Internet. Actually it's p...

FROM LSD TO PTA. Big family, small house Part I. March 13, 2007. How we moved from here:. And how we not only cut our living space in half, but our housing expenses as well. Our old living room:. Our new living room:. Notice that we are now missing a nice big television (sold! One thing I really love about my new living room is the huge front window. I keep the blinds open all day long so I can look at the trees and the occasional sunshine. Our old dining room:. On to my kitchen. God we’re old. We’...

Animal’s birth story (Uncensored) | Taming Estella

FROM LSD TO PTA. Why I call myself a militant lactivist. We’re all pumpkins. Animal’s birth story (Uncensored). October 31, 2006. Today is Animal’s birthday. I think a birth story is appropriate. Here is what I was doing one year ago today. October 30, 2005. It was one week until my due date. I was fucking miserable. I was 60 pounds heavier and I looked like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. The amniotic fluid just kept coming and coming! I had not prepared myself for the fact that during my entire labor, I...

Mama Thoughts: September 2007
http://mamathoughts-sarah.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 20, 2007. Before anyone freaks out and thinks I am not a 'real Christian' (whatever that means.) I do, in fact, realize that the death and resurrection. Of Jesus is the whole point of Christianity. But my Diva Child is THREE. She is little and doesn't get death. I'm not sure when anyone 'gets' death as it is the most unnatural thing that most of us spend our entire lives trying to avoid. Wellhis body stopped working? I could go on and on and on and on and on. But Jesus died? I'm serio...
