Life with the Lancasters: Roller Derby
http://theresabloginmypocket.blogspot.com/2012/04/roller-derby.html
Saturday, April 14, 2012. Occasionally, we come upon something a little different to do on a Saturday night. I came across an ad for roller derby in a copy of the Jackson Free Press. I knew Jake didn't care for traditional sports (football, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc.) In fact, football season is a little like torture for us non-sports followers, ha! But it didn't take too much convincing that this could be fun. Oh boy, did we have a bang up time! Look at that score! Posted by Becky Lancaster.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Summer Updates (its gonna be a long one! The rain today has definitely refreshed my brain! It reminded me I needed to make an update to the blog. I've got several things to share and lots of pictures, so bare with me! We decided to take a boat trip with Uncle Johnny. It was a little cooler than we had anticipated but we still had fun. Grace was a brave girl and rode the inner tube with her daddy. It was her first time and she did great! New Orleans it is! Evening shots of cathedra...

Life with the Lancasters: March 2012
http://theresabloginmypocket.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 25, 2012. I just realized that my last post here was back in December, so an update is long overdue. It seems like it was just Christmas. The spring semester always moves faster than the fall.at least it feels that way. We found out in February that Grace was allergic to cats, dogs and dust mites. As you might imagine, Grace was not too thrilled with test. Jake got an RC car for his birthday and boy, has he enjoyed it! I sure did miss that little munchkin while I was gone. We had Spring Bre...

Life with the Lancasters: April 2011
http://theresabloginmypocket.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 2, 2011. We decided that today would be a good day to get our garden started. We had such success last year that we wanted expand it a little. Jake rented a tiller this morning and tilled up 5 rows next to the raised bed from last year. Our wonderful (but often surly [haha]) cousin gave us used molasses block containers to use for planting the tomatoes. We returned home and got busy getting dirty! Before we could plant in the raised bed, we had to weed it a bit and pull up mustard, collar...

http://theresabloginmypocket.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 14, 2011. This past weekend, my sweet hubby surprised me with a romantic weekend getaway. We left as soon as I got home from school Friday. This is only the second Valentine's we have gotten to celebrate. Jake is usually in the middle of a "hitch" during Valentine's. Here we are oh so excited about the trip. We saw some pretty interesting things along the way including: pink golf carts, risque advertising for a bbq place, and a limo and tattoo service in one building.we wondered if y...

Monday, May 2, 2011. Our Easter weekend via photos:. Baby bunnies in Moma's yard. This kind of sums up what life with Grace and Nate is like. Shoe shopping for the kiddos. Visiting Mamaw and Papaw (the kids call them Grandmaw and Grandpaw). I snapped this picture of a picture of my Grandfather in Okinawa. He gave us a bee hive that we can't wait to get populated! Our new Easter traditions: silly string and a pinata. Spoils from the pinata and their baskets the next morning. Cutest little bunnies! He's a ...

Let me see if I can think of everything that has happened since my last post.which I see is almost a year ago! For one, I got a new job! I am now teaching art to 9th graders. Can you imagine it? Neither did I, but I love it! Jake has never really been a big Disney person, but I caught him have a good time more than once.

Life with the Lancasters: Easter
http://theresabloginmypocket.blogspot.com/2012/04/easter.html
Saturday, April 14, 2012. We were fortunate enough to have Jake home with this year for Easter so we decided to celebrate at home. Saturday, we boiled and dyed eggs. These were our favorite.the oranges and pinks didn't come out too well this year. I later turned most of those eggies into deviled eggs! That made for a beautiful carton fo shells:. That little girl found something special for her the next morning. Here is a video so you can enjoy it too! I cannot seem to get the video to load. He's a mercha...
