http://www.dxpeditions.org/tonga.html
The first Polish DX expedition to Tonga:. 17th of March 2003. I overslept in the morning and I nearly missed the plane in Okecie airport. Fortunately a friend, who gave me a lift to the airport, was determined enough, to knock at my apartment's door for almost 10 minutes. In Los Angeles at the airport I met a German DXpedition also going to Tonga! 5 people, good antennas, amplifiers, 3 radios, 4 laptops. They will work CW, RTTY, SSB from Driver's Lodge in the centre of Nuku Alofa. 18th of March 2003.

http://www.dxpeditions.org/tahiti.html
Australs and Marquesas - two islands, two DXCC countries. Our Tubuai bungalow and Charles our host. The second, after finances, problem was adjusting the date, in order for it to be appropriate for both participants, who have quite tense duties at work. The air connection was not very comfortable. That is why the route Warsaw - London - Los Angeles - Papeete has taken us about 40 hours. Tired, just before the sunrise we landed on the main island of French Polynesia - famous Tahiti. The dead hours usually...
