Saturday, 27 December 2008. The ICA reported 8110 packets of contraband. It was reported yesterday that a malaysia registered lorry truck was found with $620,000 worth of potential costoms duty and GST payable and unregistered/undeclared cigarettes. ICA said the duty-unpaid cigarettes were hidden within a consignment that was declared as mixed hardwood sawn timber. Monday, 15 June 2009. Sorry for my late post. Based on a survey conducted on Singapore drivers, driving over speed limits and beating the traffic lights when they are glowing amber are Singapore's top two most dangerous driving habits. It was also discovered that many Singaporeans do not know the normal speed limit of Singapore's roads. Only 25% answered 50km/h which was the correct answer. Posted by w- XiN yE. Wednesday, 24 December 2008. Singapore Flyer broke down at 4.15pm Out of the 28 cabins, 23 were occupied. Many passengers had to exit from the even when they were at great heights. Monday, 25 May 2009. 6 women from the Singapore women's Everest team conquered Mount Everest on the 22nd of May, last friday. They were the first Singapore women to ever reach the summit of Mount Everest. It was all thanks to their good teamwork and their huge sacrifices made in money, relationships, family and work. Friday, 19 December 2008. New Thai ruler Mr. Abhisit has still not gained trust of supporters of the previous government. The people are not very confident about him being able to bring Thailand through the Global financial crisis. Mr. Abhisit, who is currently 44, is considered quite young.
