Jeudi 7 juillet 2011. Face aux Mini, DS3 et autres Fiat 500, Audi se devait de réagir vite en proposant aussi sa petite citadine. Surtout qu'il s'agit du segment le plus porteur du moment et que les petites citadines bourgeoises ne sont pas nombreuses. Audi se devait de proposer la sienne. Elle partage son châssis avec les Seat Ibiza et Volkswagen Polo. Elle n'est donc pas aussi petite que l'on pourrait croire. 16 TDI 105 ch. 53 / 6.1. 63 / 7.2. En effet, l'Audi A1 se place désormais comme la référence en termes de qualité perçue chez les citadines. Mais il faut noter qu'elle est loin d'être la plus fun avec un habitacle qui reste austère.
