The Bird Family: April 2008
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 27, 2008. Bedside Manner and other thoughts. Go to the emergency room if you think it is bad enough. So we decided that we would just stay home and watch it and see if we can make it through the weekend. We cancelled the birthday dinner. Mark decided not to stay for the night. Amy and Andy bought us the Blizzards and we hunkered down for the night. The night went great and we are grateful for every ones support. Saturday, April 26, 2008. Thursday, April 24, 2008. The Bird Family: July 2008
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 31, 2008. New Braunfels is a german town and so we had to eat out at a German resturant. It was called Oma's Haus (Grandmother's House). I had wurst and potato pancakes and Carolyn had Snitzel. It was a fun experience to relive some of the time in Germany. Then we went shopping to get some groceries for meals on Tuesday and breakfasts for the trip. Wednesday we went to San Antonio. We went to the Alamo. This shows Morgan, Tanner, and Andrew in the worlds biggest tire. After our Safari, we ...

Thursday, May 29, 2008. A little bit of Love. Tuesday, May 6, 2008. A language lover's story. As I am very interested in language development in children, I have to share a Matthew story with you. Saturday, May 3, 2008. The end of the week has been much better than the first. Carolyn had several tests run and it was determined that she had several different bacteria in the wound on her foot. So they changed the medication and she seems to be getting better. We hope that it continues. A little bit of Love.

The Bird Family: My Dad
http://sparrowfamily.blogspot.com/2009/04/my-dad.html
Friday, April 24, 2009. I have tried since the death of my dad to sit down and write a little about his last few weeks here with us but have found it very difficult to do. However, I feel a great need to write some of the last things that my dad taught me as he and my mom and my family have been the great teachers in my life. Around the first of January, my sister and I talked and she suggested that we might want to come to Phoenix and visit with dad. Arrangements were made for dad to return to his home ...

Forever Glades: May 2014
http://michaelandhbomb.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 31, 2014. The first week in May, we were barely getting into the upper 70's outside. The kids insisted that it was warm enough to go swimming. On a Saturday, I took them to Aerofit to work out then they jumped into the pool afterwards for a freezing swim. I was surprised they lasted so long. They did admit to me at the end that it was still too cold to go swimming. Madison dressed as a Vaquero, a real Texas hero. Madison had her end of year dance recital. This was a pretty intense ordea...

Forever Glades: November 2013
http://michaelandhbomb.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 3, 2013. Halloween came and went this year with a ton of candy in between. We had a pumpkin carving contest at the clinic and had a lot of fun seeing all the entries. Our staff did a good job and we all had fun competing for the best carving. Our kids thought they should have won, but that didn't happen.just to keep the employees from thinking the contest was rigged. All the kids have fantastic friends and are at the age that sleep overs and parties are becoming the norm. We enjoy se...

Forever Glades: April 2014
http://michaelandhbomb.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The kids were ready to show these calves what they were made of. Benjamin came over to help us vaccinate, castrate, ear tag and dehorn the calves. The kids helped move them up the shoot and name them, and I wrote down the detailed records. It was a lot of work but it was fun. The kids are picking out the calf they want to ride. Cameron wanted to ride first. He picked out one of the smallest ones. He "saddled" up while Benjamin and Michael held the calf still. Then. While in Pla...

Forever Glades: December 2013
http://michaelandhbomb.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. The Kalfke Family came to visit around Christmas time and we had a great time playing with everyone. I got to take Tysen coyote hunting, but it was so foggy all night long. The only coyotes or hogs we would have been able to shoot were those within 5 feet from us. Not only did Santa eat the cookies and leave a few presents, but he also left a warning for the kids. They were barely good enough to get presents and he told them that unless they got better, there would be no p...
