Dinsdag 17 augustus 2010. Repin and the Gulf of Finland. What has Repin, the famous painter, got to do with the gulf of Finland, you may ask? Nicole (l) and Nastya (r) in electrichka. Extensive sightseeing needs good preparation! After quite a good walk through the forest, we reached Repins house, now a museum. It felt good being out of the city for a day. Dinsdag 10 augustus 2010. One of things I admire the most in Russia is it's culture, in specific, the beautiful theatres, opera's and ballets. So visiting a ballet or an opera was definitely on my to-do list. In summer there are no shows in the famous Mariinsky theatre, but luckily the Mikhailovsky theatre presented the Swan Lake. Going to the theatre in Russia was a whole new experience and definitely one that I would like to recommend! Yoleen, Luba, me and Nicole in front of Mikhailovsky theatre.

Zaterdag, juli 23, 2016. Mijn schoonouders wilden me graag bedanken voor alle hulp van de afgelopen tijd. Ze wisten dat ik heel graag nog eens ooit een industriële naaimachine wilde. En dus mocht ik, als ik een geschikte vond, deze kopen. Ook een triple transport, en veel prettiger om mee te naaien. Tussen de drie had de Pfaff mijn absolute voorkeur.
