The Weed Patch: June 2010
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 3, 2010. Our ward has a big garden plot, and so we decided to sign up for a section and to grow some vegetables and fruit. The plot started out with tons of rocks and weeds, so it took a while to get it to this point. We planted some corn. And here we have a tomato, bell peppers, and a jalapeno plant (the last one was specifically requested for by Sterling). And these are our green beans and wax beans. We are hoping to make some fresh succotash at the end of the summer!

The Weed Patch: November 2010

Monday, November 1, 2010. This shooting excursion was Rachel's first time ever shooting a gun. She did pretty well. She used a technique were she would purposely miss every shot that she took except for the last shot in the clip.it was somewhat unorthodox but it seemed to work fine for her. I am pretty sure that Sterling had an even cooler shot than the one Alee had.I just can't remember what it is at the moment. These are the pumpkins that had the unfortunate opportunity to spend Halloween with us.

not so dirty diana: December 2010

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. I'm so excited about this project. It was a gift for my friend Laney. A baby gift, actually, for her little girl who (you may notice) is no longer a newborn. Milly was born in June, but the idea was born at a service auction in March. Doll styling would translate onto male dolls. So I was kind of glad when Sara, the winner, had something else in mind, and the doppelganger doll idea was dropped. And that's what your gift will be! Prototype Milly with fancy earrings. Milly was...

The Weed Patch: October 2010
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 7, 2010. Sterling and I went up Provo Canyon last week to see the fall trees. It was really pretty and perfect weather for a walk on the trail. We're officially going to Bowling Green in January for Sterling's grad school, so we're trying to get in all the time possible enjoying the mountains! Sterling will be getting his Masters of Public Administration at Western Kentucky University. We're sad to be leaving family here in Utah, but excited to go experience something new!

The Weed Patch: Utah
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2011/08/utah.html
Monday, August 8, 2011. At the end of July we ventured off to the land of Utah. While there we had many adventures, and we have decided to share some of them with the numerous readers of this mighty blog. The video below is of a ski jumping competition that we saw when we visited Park City. No vacation to Utah is complete without an excursion to the desert to shoot some Shasta. It was a very fun trip, and we were sad that it had to end so quickly. August 9, 2011 at 7:28 AM.

The Weed Patch: August 2011

Monday, August 8, 2011. I know that this is a little late, but we decided to give a tour of our apartment. Here is a view from the outside. We decided to put together a video of the inside of our apartment, it seemed easier and possibly more entertaining than taking a bunch of pictures. The video is nowhere near the "quality" of HGTV shows, but we hope that you enjoy it. This is what our apartment looks like from the outside. Here is a couple videos of the downstairs:. Awhile back, we decided we should f...

The Weed Patch: April 2010
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 5, 2010. Maranda and I had a little bakery going last Thursday and ended up with several platters of cleverly decorated cupcakes, as well as homemade Oreos. Needless to say, many of them were eaten before I thought about taking some pictures, but these of some of the remains. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Picture Window theme. Powered by Blogger.

The Weed Patch: March 2010
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Fun in the Sun, oh wait.snow. Last weekend we headed up North with Sterling's family to have some winter fun at their cabin along Henry's Fork River. We drove snowmobiles out to Mesa Falls, an amazing waterfall. The sun and snow made for some squinty pictures though. We also did some cross country skiing. Sterling fell down a few times, I managed to document it once so that all could enjoy his misfortune. Another great trip to the cabin! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Weed Patch: May 2012
http://weedpatch09.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Sterling's Mom and sister came out for the weekend to celebrate his graduation. Our first stop was Mammoth Cave, which was as amazing as ever. Waiting for our tour, learning about white nose syndrome (a disease killing bats around the country). We had to sanitize our shoes after the tour to prevent it from coming or going from the cave. Going down into the cave, discovered by a guy hunting a bear back in the 1700's, so typical. Lots of picture taking opportunities!
