germars: Attaching the attachments
http://germars.blogspot.com/2010/06/attaching-attachments.html
Friday, June 11, 2010. Do you ever do this? You write a long email to someone explaining something and then say that you are going to attach something and totally forget to do it? Yep, me all the time. I'm sure I have hundreds of emails that say "oops" in the title. Today I was emailing someone via Gmail and said I'm attaching a spreadsheet to show you my figures and clicked on send, and instead of me just sending it and getting a message from someone later saying "Where was the attachment? Susan Stanifo...

Friday, May 20, 2011. A Roger's Sportsnet newscaster was fired recently for tweeting his views on gay marriage. He was ultimately fired as their on-air host. It was called a new employment phenomenon, career suicide by social media. It's not new though, last year a woman's firing was made news after she had a bad day at work and shared it with her "friends" on Facebook. Trouble was, she'd also "friended" her boss. She was told (via Facebook), that she didn't need to show up for work in future. If you use...

Sunday, January 23, 2011. What is Net Neutrality and how does it affect you? Essentially, net neutrality is the idea that no group should be able to discriminate against applications or content found on the Internet. That means no blocking access to web content, and no speeding up or slowing down of specific online services. It means the Internet should be a level playing field for ideas and innovation. Some examples of how this inspection has not been agnostic:. In 2005, Telus blocked access. Throughout...

Wednesday, June 24, 2009. I've been reading a lot lately about how the internet is going green. "Green"? I say They'll put that green spin on anything to sell something. I remember when computers started being used in offices and people were starting to be able to afford them, and the promises that it would save paper and time. Well, frankly, that didn't pan out. As much as I try, I think there is more paper printed than ever before. Now that is where the energy is really being consumed. Can require more...

germars: More on Crowdsourcing
http://germars.blogspot.com/2011/03/more-on-crowdsourcing.html
Friday, March 18, 2011. Isn't it the way that you just mention something and you hear that term or subject a lot in the next few days. You never know if it is because you just became aware of it or a cosmic co-incidence. After writing on Crowdsourcing, there was a news article today that Coca-cola. More and more companies are searching twitter and blog posts to see what their customers are saying about them, and changing the way they do business as a result! Posted by Mary Sullivan. germars: Selling items online
http://germars.blogspot.com/2010/01/selling-items-online.html
Sunday, January 31, 2010. I've had a bit of experience lately with selling things online. I've had to clear out my Mother's house after her sudden death a few months ago, and I can now give my own first hand experience with various ways to sell. I had a dining room suite to sell and was advised to sell it on eBay. Other things I had were less expensive and so I decided to put them all on Kijiji.ca. I also used Freecycle. I also used CraigsList. And listed a couple of items and got not one response. Kijij...
