Schazz Practice: George ink
http://schazzpractice.blogspot.com/2008/07/george-ink.html
Thursday, 3 July 2008. This is a drawing of George John K gave to Amir to practice inking (and like the dirty low-down thief I am I swiped it for my own dark purposes). Inking of it. I made a point not to properly look at his until after I made my own attempt. Look how great his is! Super contrasting lines, the nice lttle details.and the shoes! Just compare the feet on Amir's George to mine and you'll see what I mean. This is my attempt. Oh, and it took me just under an hour to do. Thanks for the plug!

I really appreciate it. It's a nice idea, linking to the other people doing John's lessons.I might just do it myself! Great stuff you have here, keep it up! June 18, 2008 at 8:26 AM. Amir, Lynsey: Thanks! Yeah, these two are fun characters to draw, and they're considerably simpler than George, Jimmy or Sody.

Hammerson's Learning and Practice Blog. Saturday, June 14, 2008. This drawing was based on a Sody Pop picture I found long time ago, probably on Spumco web site:. Can you guess what was the inspiration for this drawing? And finally, a picture inspired by this post on John's blog. And here's a bonus George Liquor drawing from 7 days ago:. Jimmy the Idiot Boy. Also, I love Jimmy's "fingers- tripping-over-each-other-in- excitement" hand. June 14, 2008 at 1:04 PM. Good work as always, Ham The Man! If I were ...

Schazz Practice: July 2008
http://schazzpractice.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 23 July 2008. More Jim Smith Clean-ups. This one was already pretty clean (I think i screwed up on the top of the fridge door though. Tried to fix the arm and bible on this one. Didn't really like how this one tured out - -. His mouth kinda confused me here. You can really tell the difference between Jim's beautifully drawn right foot and the left, which I had to draw the toes for. Tuesday, 22 July 2008. As you can probably see, I started to draw him with a fez rather than a nightcap - whoops!

Hammerson's Learning and Practice Blog: George Liquor cleanup drawings
http://hammersonpractice.blogspot.com/2008/07/george-liquor-cleanup-drawings_21.html
Hammerson's Learning and Practice Blog. Monday, July 21, 2008. George Liquor cleanup drawings. First attempt to cleanup some of Jim Smith's drawings posted at John's blog. I will add more drawings tomorrow. Nice one. But maybe some of the lines are a bit too heavy, and because of that they take to much of the attention. Like that stroke from the chair down his feets. July 21, 2008 at 9:02 AM. You really made some beautiful drawings. Wish I could do this as well! Do You make computer illustrations as well?

http://hammersonpractice.blogspot.com/2008/07/george-liquor-digital-inking.html
Hammerson's Learning and Practice Blog. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. George Liquor - digital inking. After several days of practice, here are my first serious attempts of inking in Adobe Illustrator, based on the layout drawings posted at John's blog. It's OK, but could be better, and there's plenty of room for improvement. Here. Are John's inking tips with some amazing examples. That's the level I'm aspiring to, and need much more practice to reach it. More stuff to come, later. See my posts for tips.
