The Phonological Loop: No Diggity
http://phonologicalloop.blogspot.com/2010/05/no-diggity.html
Thursday, May 13, 2010. Well, hello there. No not you. I mean you: Mid 90's RnB. I see you're back, and just as catchy as the first time around. You, with your timely urban slang. That's right, I've got Blackstreet's "No Diggity" funkin' in my brain box these days. Now, if I could just "bag it up", I'd be much happier. "No doubt.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday, January 2, 2008. The humans are dead." "Affirmative." Yes, my brain has been invaded by the New Zealand pop-comedy duo Flight Of The Conchords. And their song "Robots." It's a delightful song about how the humans over-worked the robots and so the robots killed us. Binary solo: 000000001. Check out a live performance here:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Phonological Loop: Sci-Fi Distortion
http://phonologicalloop.blogspot.com/2009/05/sci-fi-distortion.html
Thursday, May 14, 2009. I'm not really minding the loop, but it'd be pretty cool if I could get a subwoofer installed in my brain. As the artist's name suggests, there's a good bit of bass in the tune and I feel like even my imagination isn't doing it justice. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Today's Phonological Loop is brought to you by David Bowie's "Blue Jean" and the word "proboscis." This is the first time since I've started this blog that I've got a word or phrase stuck in my head. Years ago, while I was in high school I had the name " Hotblack Desiato. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Ahthe reflex.whatever the heck it is. Even the song doesn't seem to know what the reflex is. I want to find the members of Duran Duran and ask them what the lyrics to "The Reflex" mean. What is is all about? Seriously, if anyone has a clear idea what the heck the song is about, please, let me know. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, May 28, 2009. There's Always Someone Cooler Than You. Ever listened to a song and found it a little annoying? But then you found yourself humming the tune, so you listened to it again? Eventually you ended up liking it, despite it being sort of odd? Thursday, May 14, 2009. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Theres Always Someone Cooler Than You. View my complete profile.

The Phonological Loop: June 2009
http://phonologicalloop.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 22, 2009. This past weekend was a great weekend for cars both in real life and in my head. I spent most of the weekend at the MSRA's annual Back to the 50's. Car show, looking at a lot of wonderful old cars. I also spent most of the weekend humming Quiet Riot's "Slick Black Cadillac" quietly to myself. But it's gone from a vaguely appropriate song for weekend fun, to officially wedged deep in my brain. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Phonological Loop: July 2009
http://phonologicalloop.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 17, 2009. Ever have one of those albums you buy for one song, but then you end up enjoying so many of the others? So today I've had the instrumental portions of the song looping over and over in my head. It's times like this that I really wish I knew more of the lyrics, so I could just get past the instrumentals. Looks like it's time to listen to it more. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
