After a brief stop in Milan, I was off by train to Switzerland to meet up with Michel, a friend that I had met in Canada hen he was living with a good friend in Vancouver. Now I had always assumed it was pretty much solely alpine country, which was a bit naive of me. Entering from the south, I was amazed at the almost mediterranean-feeling lakes lined with fan palms. This is exactly as stupid as it looks.
