Monday, June 20, 2011. Gardening is no joke. I. Don't even think I can call myself a 'gardener' because I have no idea what I am doing - I just water little green things and hope that they grow. As I have watered, I like to think of all the ways that gardening parallels real life. Here's a few random thoughts. I pick the weeds AND thin out the plants. It takes great patience. I've cooked, baked, organized random closets, caught up on emails, finished many of the projects I've been avoiding, and only felt stir crazy a few times. I suppose the goal is to dress up like a character from the Esther story (ie queen, king, middle eastern person, bad guy, etc). But, any costume will do, really. Sunday, June 5, 2011. A weekend to remember! Over Christmas break, the decision was made (inspired by Marie) that we would all run a half-marathon in May. After 5 months of training, tired bodies, blisters galore, many fixes of gatorade and protein drinks. we have all complete a half-marathon. Yes.13.1 miles!
