The Bicycle Shop Inc. Racing Team: Oh, Michaux!
http://thebicycleshopincracingteam.blogspot.com/2010/05/oh-michaux.html
Saturday, May 8, 2010. We here at TBS Racing Inc. enjoy taking our time when reporting our racing experiences. It isn't that we don't want you to be up to date, it's just that we're pretty lazy sometimes. But alas, we have been racing! Here is a picture to prove that Denny and I [Tim] at least started the Michaux Maximus this past weekend:. This picture is a good representation of our different racing styles. Denny likes to hammer from the gun, I prefer to go all Zen on long events. Good Let's move on.

The Bicycle Shop Inc. Racing Team: May 2010

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Did you see that? I totally used a play on words in my title. I. Am. So. Clever. Anyway, aside from pandering myself (and check in that box), as Tim said, we have not updated because we are lazy. As, a matter of fact I actually have TWO race updates. Numero 1: Greenbrier Challenge. Number Deux : Michaux Maximus. Two things lead to super successful races: a supreme lack of sleep and a 20 degree spike in temperature. Both of these things happened for me at Michaux. This picture is ...

The Bicycle Shop Inc. Racing Team: April 2010
http://thebicycleshopincracingteam.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Rumbling Across the (Un)Pave. Another addition of The Tour of The Battenkill has come and gone in a blustery fashion. I managed to finish in the lead group. I had the opportunity to go with the winning move and elected not to (read my excuse as Uncle Jerry's favorite excuse, "Sorry guys, I suck! That's all for now, I will post more about the housing "situation" and some pictures later. Thursday, April 8, 2010. By the Numbers: Team Relay. Posted by Tim Darwick. I do a fair amount ...

benjacat: Okkervil, Titus, and racing
http://benjacat.blogspot.com/2011/06/okkervil-titus-and-racing.html
Sunday, June 12, 2011. Okkervil, Titus, and racing. On Saturday, I drove three hours round trip to race the 72-mile state road race, before turning around to go to Columbus to see Okkervil River and Titus Andronicus at the Newport Music Hall. Having never seen Titus Andronicus before, I suspected that they would be best enjoyed in a small, blue-collar club somewhere in Jersey. I think I am right, but they still managed to kill it in the bigger music hall setting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

benjacat: Tour of the Battenkill 2011
http://benjacat.blogspot.com/2011/04/tour-of-battenkill-2011.html
Friday, April 15, 2011. Tour of the Battenkill 2011. There are apparently lots of Category 2 racers in the New England area who do nothing but ride bikes all winter long. At least that is what it felt like at around mile 50 of the race on Sunday when the wheels came off the wagon and I began limping to feed zone 2 where I happily pulled the plug and accepted a ride to the finish from the "team car.". It was still a great weekend that involved nice weather and riding bikes.things could be much worse.

benjacat: March 2012
http://benjacat.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 12, 2012. We are finally no longer viewed as freeloaders. Sort of. Nearly four years ago, I wrote about the fraudulent argument. Put forth (by people like Terence P. Jeffrey) that the federal gas tax covers all of the country's road expenses. Back then, anyone paying attention knew that was completely false. The problem, of course, is that not many people pay attention. Just published an article. I recognize that no individuals actually subscribe to. And the only people who read it are thos...

benjacat: July 2011
http://benjacat.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 14, 2011. My pre-race meals tend not to be generally accepted by the people who determine the answers to these types of important, world-changing issues. As such, I will resort to the excuse of pizza legs. For a really crappy performance at the Tour of the Valley criterium. Normally, this type of stuff is kept on the down low, but a certain investigative photojournalist exposed my methods with a rare race appearance on Sunday. Thursday, July 07, 2011. 1) I have confirmed that Taco Tontos.
