Setting in Act I: | Aaron Lam's Blog
https://aarondclam.wordpress.com/2010/02/02/setting-in-act-i
Aaron Lam's Blog. Setting in Act I:. The scene starts off in an open place. There is thunder and lightning in the sky. The scene most probably is taking place in the afternoon because it has not reached sunset yet. This is shown through line 5 as witch 3 says they(the 3 witches) will meet up again when the battle ends “ere the set of sun”, which suggests sunset has not arrived yet. The scene starts off in a military camp near Forres. Throughout the scene, the whole scene takes place in a heath and does n...

Aaron Lam's Blog. Imagery/Symbolism in Act 2. In act 2, blood and murder imagery/symbols come up repeatedly. Both of these symbolic images occur mostly in scene I and II because those two scenes are when Macbeth will be/has been murdered. The images decreases in frequency as the act progresses from scene II and on. This entry was posted on Monday, February 8th, 2010 at 9:37 pm and is filed under Uncategorized. https://aarondclam.wordpress.com/2010/03/17/characters-in-act-v
Aaron Lam's Blog. Characters in Act V. Macduff’s anger towards Macbeth is also shown in this scene and seeks revenge for the death of his family. He states that his “wife and children’s ghost will haunt”(V,vii, 16) him if he does not kill Macbeth himself. This is the driving motivation for Macduff to invade the castle and take of Macbeth’s throne. Out, damned spot! Out, I say! One, two. Why, then, ’tis time to do ’t. Hell is murky! Fie, my lord, fie! A soldier, and afeard? 8221;(V, i, 40-41). This scene ...

Aaron Lam's Blog. Plot in Act 3:. In this scene, Macbeth expresses a sense of insecurity and his fear of Banquo to Lady Macbeth. There is a change of relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Macbeth becomes the more aggressive one and Lady Macbeth tries to comfort Macbeth. In previous scenes, it is Lady Macbeth that is in charge and plots the murder of others. The ghost appears to haunt Macbeth because it is Macbeth who has ordered the murder of Banquo in the previous scene. The rest of the peo...

https://aarondclam.wordpress.com/2010/03/08/languagemusic-in-act-iv
Aaron Lam's Blog. Language/music in Act IV. In the song sang by the witches, there are many uses of rhyming couplets and several uses of alliteration. Fillet of a fenny snake. In the cauldron boil and bake. And toe of frog. And tongue of dog. Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting. Eg and owlet’s wing. For a charm of powerful trouble. Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. Scale of dragon, tooth of w. Of the ravined s. Liver of blaspheming Jew.

During sleep, humans keeps their state of mind peaceful and free of thoughts. When Lady Macbeth’s sleep is disturbed, it symbolizes how her true mind is disrupted from contaminated thoughts. Aaron Lam's Blog | English Class
Aaron Lam's Blog. March 23, 2010. Of the 3 acts (act 3-5), I personally think that act 5 was done with greater detail than the others and act 3 was the one that could have been done better. My worst blog post is probably act 3. The blog post was about the plot of the scenes. The blog followed and talked about the questions that were posted on the prezi-moi. Not much interpretation was needed as the task was relatively simple. Comparatively, the blog post on act 3 was done with less effort. March 17, 2010.
