Keepin' Up with the Boys! Wednesday, December 8, 2010. My family has this habit, or tradition, or planning trips to come and surprise another member of the family. This has been done several times successfully, and other times, not so much (thanks to my mom falling and breaking her ankle, the Dr had told her not to fly, therefore canceling the plan) Nevertheless, the scheming, planning and deceit is always fun to do. This time, I got to help my mom pull it off! Sometimes mom's just make things better!

Every 1st and 3rd quarter we have our scheduled Parent Teacher Conferences, so mine was scheduled for today. Twin Finn: Finn is 8!!

Monday, February 14, 2011. Finn turned 8 on Saturday and I am as shocked as everyone else. We had rain on Saturday, so it was a pretty low key birthday. We did have some visitors at the farm and my dad saddled up the horses, so Finn demonstrated his backwards horse riding skills (see below). He says, he only got clothes! The doctor talked to us after his surgery and said both the tonsils and adenoids were huge and really needed to be removed. I'm glad we made the decision to do it now, not later. Make yo...

Sunday, August 29, 2010. It's that time of year.school is starting! I feel terrible for saying this, but I CAN'T WAIT. I was talking to a friend of mine today about brown bagging lunches. Finn always takes a lunch and usually buys milk. However, often, I find myself laying in bed, wondering what the heck I am going to pack for lunch. Do you do this too? I bet you do! Saturday, November 27, 2010. More recently, we had a storm! Okay, where we live, we expect the power to go out! This year, the power company trimmed a ton of tree branches back, but that doesn't do much good when a tree takes down the power lines!
