The Journey is the Reward

The Journey is the Reward. Sunday, February 7, 2010. Signaling Commercial Vehicle Drivers. Yesterday, I was having dinner with two of my friends who are commercial vehicle drivers and we were talking about the signals that drivers use when passing. Read this and be a better driver. A word of warning: Don't signal until the commercial vehicle is completely past you, with sufficient room to pull in safely. Drivers will trust that, if you use this signal, you know what you're doing. Is the above accurate?

The Journey is the Reward: October 2008

http://aaronhurd.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

The Journey is the Reward. Thursday, October 23, 2008. Updates from Stomping Grounds. One of the advantages to having the cheap-o, $400 black-Friday special laptop is that I can keep it out on the table, without much fear that it will get stolen. All of the data is backed up and, aside from the idea of someone creepy going through my photos from my college years, there is very little that would be lost if the laptop were stolen. Oh, the joys of laptoppiness. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Journey is the Reward. Sunday, March 29, 2009. On my recent trip to Hong. Kong (which reminds me, I really need to get pictures from BOTH Hong. Kong and Japan up for people who are not on Facebook. One of the people I met recommended the book "Hot Commodities" by Jim Rodgers. While on a business trip in Moline. I spent some time reading this book and as a result, have decided not to start investing in commodities. 1 With stocks, the intrinsic value of the companies I am investing in is increasing&#46...

The Journey is the Reward: Eliminate The Development Machine to Increase Innovation

http://aaronhurd.blogspot.com/2009/08/eliminate-hirearchy-to-increase.html

The Journey is the Reward. Sunday, August 16, 2009. Eliminate The Development Machine to Increase Innovation. In my quest for knowledge and insight about how great companies are managed, I've been reading "The Google Way" one of the, I'm sure, myriad of books that purports to explain all of the things that make Google amazing. One of this weekend's insights was the following:. A lot of good ideas (and a few great ones) come from rank-and-file employees. How does your organization work? Oh, Delta (Rant).

The Journey is the Reward: February 2009

http://aaronhurd.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

The Journey is the Reward. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Book: Plugged In: The Generation Y Guide to Thriving at Work. Yes, the title sounds kind of gimmicky, but I heard about this book on NRP's Marketplace . . . and a mention on NPR lends anything quite a bit of clout with me, so I decided to pick up this book for some weekend reading. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. CNN recently posted a piece entitled: “Don’t go to work if you’re sick – please! Http:/ www.cnn.com/2009/LIVING/worklife/02/02/cb.do&...My mother...

On December 5, 1987, an unremarkable life became a horrific, twisted nightmare. While installing Christmas lights, Rich Dixon fell from the roof of his home, shattered three vertebrae in his neck and damaged his spinal cord. He was paralyzed below his chest. God continued to create good within the horror of a broken life. When he wanted to quit, God showed Rich a bigger plan.

A blog by me about whatever. September 12th, 2009. Posted in Day to Day. April 18th, 2008. Just over a year ago I smashed my face into the side of the tub. While things are certainly better, I’m pretty clearly not 100%. It’s most noticeable when I smile. People try to say it looks like a dimple. A tipsy woman at L. Still, scars are cool. I just need a better story than “the bathtub hit me.”. 4 comments already. Jump in. The Internets are Fun. March 22nd, 2008. Should I mention wine was involved? 3 commen...

Aaron Hursh, Actor

Aaron Hursh, Actor. Monday, August 26, 2013. Salt-Water Moon Summer, Sleeping Beauty Christmas. I got to spend June and July this year in Rosthern, SK, acting in a production of David French's Salt-Water Moon. If you don't know the play, or the playwright - look into it. French was among the elite playwrights in Canada, he has had his plays produced around the world - most notably Leaving Home. Up next for me, is a new adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. To be done at The Globe Theatre in Regina. I'm very...
