This body of new work-in-progress uses slate-rock, mined by the artist in West Wales, roofing slates from North Wales and items cast with slate dust and resin. The work emerged from the reality that the artist is the first in his family linage not to have learned to write and draw on slate. (2014).

A Google Earth image showing the volcanic landscape in Iceland acted as the catalyst for this series of works, titled: Icelandic Landscapes, gong paintings which can ring. Much like the flow of lava, the freezing and oxidising gives each piece its uniqueness.
