Life is a Blast Crisis! February 23, 2011. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now and now is as good as time as any: I am going to suspend blogging here at Marrowish and blog only at my other site BOJIKI. I’m doing this for a couple of reasons:. This place, and especially all of you who stopped by here to offer your support, prayers, and encouragement, really helped me cope with some crazy stuff this past year or so and I am very, very grateful for it. OK That’s it. Sayonara. What I've ...

Creating my Art!: October 2011

I used a 6B and 8B graphite stick, I prefer graphite sticks because they are so versatile; you can use them on their side, or as a regular pencil, snap them and get interesting marks and also scrape dust from them and uses that and many others! I have another drawing starting and again have asked the owner for permission and will let you see it when it is finished.

Life is a Blast Crisis! The Wife Bought Me New Slippers That Look Exactly Like Loafers. Sayonara Marrowish →. February 21, 2011. Ever since mid-December 2010, I have been getting light headed whenever I stand or lean over. A couple of times I have come pretty close to passing out. The last checkup I had the doc took my blood pressure lying down and it was 135 over 70 something. He then had me stand up and took it again. It was 110 over 60 something. A pretty significant drop. That’s good news. ...My gut ...

streetogrOFFY: streetogrOFFY Manifesto
http://streetogroffy.blogspot.com/p/streetogroffy-defined.html
I am sure all of you are wondering what is streetogrOFFY? Well really it is my own play on the word, streettography or street photography, but it is also something much more than that. Street photography is such a wonderful genre of photography. It is pure, perfect, and untouched. It is a moment frozen in time that will never be repeated again. I think that is what makes it so powerful, it is raw. Is discreet. It does not disturb or influence the subject, but rather documents that moment of beauty. Check...

The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz: Friday Reflections : Go Confidently in the Direction of your dreams.
http://cilginkiz-hocam.blogspot.com/2015/04/friday-reflections-go-confidently-in.html
The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Friday Reflections : Go Confidently in the Direction of your dreams. My choice for this weeks post is the quotation by Henry Thoreau, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.". Last April, I took a flight from Kathmandu to see Everest. This is the photo I took. It is the closest I want to get to that mountain peak! I am so sad to see the devastation now in the city where I spent several days this time last year.

The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz: January 2014
http://cilginkiz-hocam.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz. Thursday, January 30, 2014. Home Wrecking .Emmm.Improvements. So what distracted me? I could write a very long post about the trials and tribulations in the process but you don't have time to read it all. I camped out in the bedroom for 2 months. The photos that follow explain all. When I was here in October the house looked like this. When I came back in November it looked like this:. Not only the laminate came up, so did some of the tiles. Out with the old. The end result&...

The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz: January 2012
http://cilginkiz-hocam.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz. Friday, January 13, 2012. I know it's been a long time since I've posted. I never finished my story of a Turkish wedding. Unfortunately, events overtook me and I simply neither had the time nor the heart to blog. However a new year has dawned and I'm trying to get a grip. Checked the bags again, waterproof coat, sufficient clothes in case I get wet. I'm set. I got up this morning packed the car, bid my farewells and started the engine. Oops! Arrived at school and I'm having ...

http://cilginkiz-hocam.blogspot.com/2015/04/friday-reflections-carpe-diem.html
The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Friday Reflections. Carpe Diem. Firstly I would like to thank Mackenzie and Janine for choosing me as their featured writer last week. I was surprised and very pleased. Next I must apologise as my Friday reflection has become a Tuesday one. Last week was a good but very busy. The H3A. Group here on the Bodrum peninsula was celebrating their 5th Year Anniversary last Thursday and I was busy sewing my hexis. The two on the left are mine. So my reflecti...

The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz: October 2013
http://cilginkiz-hocam.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The Adventures of Cilgin Kiz. Friday, October 18, 2013. Youve got to be kidding me! This week saw the celebration of Kurban Bayramı, the Feast of the Sacrifice and once more, the houses on the site began to fill as the owners came for the holiday. Mum and I resolved to stay indoors for the morning when most of the killing is done, only venturing out into the garden in the afternoon. No, no it is even better it is goat! Dear God in Heaven, what am i going to do? He pleaded extreme tiredness was after his ...
