Aaron Robinson: April 2011
http://aaronrobinson.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Just about to start a portrait - so expect a meaty post soon. Meanwhile - more random images from sketchbooks. Never know what I'm about to draw - just embrace the randomness as lines begin to form. Your guess is as good as mine. Bought an A5 Ebony pad to play around with. Started to churn out these little grotesques in conté. Black pencil crayon on marker paper (below). Long and pointy noses are obviously very much my bag at the moment. Rhinologists feel free to comment.
Aaron Robinson: July 2010
http://aaronrobinson.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 17, 2010. Busy trying to hammer a wooden stake into the heart of my MA. Every time I think the deed is done - red eyes flick open and the screaming starts again. With just a presentation to go - The MA Exposition is now up and y'all can go see it (even if it's to spend an idle five, sheltering from the shared joke we British like to call 'summer'). Having said that - I did notice the roof was leaking - so keep your brolly handy. And look who made it onto the NTU. You sell with zombies?

Aaron Robinson: August 2009
http://aaronrobinson.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. All new(ish) works being produced as I happily trip the light fantastic, beyond the constraints of traditional 'fine art' and fill my illustrative boots with something a bit more 'my cup of tea'. Don't stare - you'll make them nervous! They're all mixed media - oil paintings with a bit of digital jiggery pokery thrown in. Friday, August 14, 2009. Also included as few pics from A5( ish. Sketchbook. I've been battering my self confidence with biro. Of course - it's only a matter of...

Aaron Robinson: 'Mazin Tales
http://aaronrobinson.blogspot.com/2011/03/mazin-tales.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. This started life as a random doodle. There's a cool Gnomon. DVD by Carlos Huante. That starts with a drawing teased from the ether. He uses a technique with Black Col-Erase pencils and some kind of solvent. Inspired - I used marker paper and surgical spirits to wipe the image down - and that worked pretty well. I began by laying down gestural marks, and went with whatever started to emerge from the scribbly. Covers - and this image comes straight from that 1950's Sci- Fi.

Aaron Robinson: February 2010
http://aaronrobinson.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. The temptation to put some onomatopoeic lettering in here is killing me - but what is the exact. Noise of desperate bare knuckle on undead jawbone? Sunday, February 7, 2010. In December - looks a bit like this. When seen through the view finder of a Canon G10 - if anyone's even the slightest bit interested). Warming up to the New Year. Having not posted in quite a while - this is just a quickie to get back in the saddle! You blink - you die. MUst Ressissst - urge! Have publishe...
