Daruma Cycles: The incredible bamboo hulk.
http://darumacycles.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-incredible-bamboo-hulk.html
Sunday, August 25, 2013. The incredible bamboo hulk. If he OK's it today, I can get it clearcoated tonight, polished tomorrow and boxed up and shipped out by Thursday. That would be just super. I think I had initially told Ian i'd have the bike done in the spring, but hey, time flies when you're in the basement. Head tube/Top tube joint. The whole shebang. Bamboo bike number 11. Daruma Cycles: December 2012
http://darumacycles.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2012. Even smaller than before. I've been held up for the last week, but have made some decent progress on the re-do of the tiny commuter bike project. Looking good! Tuesday, December 11, 2012. I've been toying with the idea of some different ways to decorate my bikes and came up with the idea of some paper decoupage on the joints. Maybe even put it in under a layer of fiberglass. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Daruma Cycles Photo Galleries.

Daruma Cycles: Some progress
http://darumacycles.blogspot.com/2015/05/some-progress.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. I finally got the tubes all tacked together and it's time to start the lay up of the joints. This is the first bike that I've ever done with full carbon construction, and honestly, it's a lot easier than working with bamboo. Things are straight, at least for the factory made tubes, and there isn't the concern about splitting. A quick rundown of the geometry that I've settled on for my 'perfect' road bike. All dimensions in millimeters. Though that was largely due to an incorrect fit.

Daruma Cycles: May 2013
http://darumacycles.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 3, 2013. This is what we're going for. I'm going to cut out the top tube and seat tubes and we'll do something like this:. Helps if you measure right. So, not sure exactly why I haven't been using Bike Cad for the past few years, but this is super handy, and shows exactly why I didn't have the standover clearance that I was looking for. Carl is the Man. The big bummer of the whole deal is that with ENVE's expansion over the past few years, they're no longer going to be able to make custom tub...

Daruma Cycles: December 2013
http://darumacycles.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 13, 2013. Some inspiration and reconfiguration. Some good posts recently on Bike Rumor. Which have solidified my idea of making a full carbon bike for myself. I'm even thinking that I'm going to take a stab at molding my own tubes around a mandrel. I've done some dissecting of a Scott Addict top tube, and will delve into some other bits and pieces to get a better idea for what other companies are doing. Also, I gotta give a shout out to my friends Richie and Max at Philly Bikesmith.

Thursday, August 6, 2015. So during these next 3 months of internship, I'll have a lot of applications to write to find a real job for after the internship ends, but I'm optimistic, for now. asa's escapades: February 2015
http://asasescapades.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2015. FCC Chairman makes a bold statement. Originally, I believed that the FCC could assure internet openness through a determination of “commercial reasonableness” under Section 706 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. While a recent court decision seemed to draw a roadmap for using this approach, I became concerned that this relatively new concept might, down the road, be interpreted to mean what is reasonable for commercial interests, not consumers. Living the Good Life: North Shore Vacation, Part 1
http://thoseknudsons.blogspot.com/2015/08/north-shore-vacation-part-1.html
Living the Good Life. Monday, August 3, 2015. North Shore Vacation, Part 1. We left the Cities on Saturday morning and drove to Duluth to spend a day and a night with the Henningsgaard family. This was a great way to break up the drive and spend a little time with our great friends. The weather was warm, and the kids enjoyed popsicles, time on the beach (they even swam in Lake Superior! And pancakes for breakfast. Grand Portage State Park features Minnesota's largest waterfall, although half of the fall ...

Living the Good Life: Fourth of July
http://thoseknudsons.blogspot.com/2015/07/fourth-of-july.html
Living the Good Life. Friday, July 17, 2015. I think Levi's enjoyment of the 4th of July celebration at Oma's neighbor's house can best be summed up with one picture. It was pretty spectacular. It was a warm day and their pool was heated, so the kids enjoyed the water for hours without even getting a little chilly. All the neighbors brought a side dish (we made pesto pasta and my mom brought corn and some snacks) and the hosts grilled chicken and burgers. Perfect! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
