Lower Schweitzer Falls

RATING - 14.0. VR - 2 (Small) HR - 5 SQ - 4. TYPE OF APPROACH - Bushwhack. LOCATION - Verlot area. GPS - 48* 03.525 N, 121* 41.770 W. DIRECTIONS - Follow the directions to Schweitzer Falls. Park at the fork just before that waterfall and scramble down the right side of the creek. Its super messy in there with tons of logs laying around the steep hillside. If you work really hard you can get through-the-trees views of some of the tiers. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Hadley Falls. BEST IN THE NW.

RATING - 46.2. VR - 3.6 (Med/Sm) HR - 7 SR - 14/20. TYPE OF APPROACH - Bushwhack. LOCATION - Glacier Creek Road. HEIGHT - 247' *. GPS - N48 49.315 W121 54.640. The right half is a long, S-shaped falls that stands 185' tall. Add in a couple smaller tiers below including the 20' lower tier that must be climbed over to reach the top, and the total height is 247'. ADDITIONAL PICTURES (CLICK TO ENLARGE) AND VIDEO. BEST IN THE NW.

RATING - 20.0. VR - 4 (Med/Sm) HR - 1 SR - 16/20. TYPE OF APPROACH - Trail. LOCATION - Moran State Park. DIRECTIONS - Take the ferry to Orcas Island. Upon disembarking, turn left and drive along the road for around 25 minutes until you enter Moran State Park. After passing Cascade Lake, take the left fork in the road and drive for about 1/2 mile to the trailhead for this and 4 other falls. The trail is around 1.5 miles to see all of the falls. NEARBY WATERFALLS - Cascade Falls. BEST IN THE NW.
