Aaron Takes a Walk. Chronicling my Appalachian Trail thru-hike. Probably the place I've found most of my information about the trail. The forums are golden for becoming familiar with the trail and all its nuances. I mean all of them. People will debate anything and everything, from what constitutes a thru-hiker to the benefits of down over synthetic fill (and vice-versa, of course). AWOL on the Appalachian Trail. 3 wire dipole
To preemptively dispel any of the common misunderstandings, here are a few facts about the 3 wire dipole:. 1) It is not a fan dipole, or a fat dipole. It is not a linear loaded dipole, a "cobra," or a "cage" dipole. 2) The feedline does not radiate in any manner similar to a G5RV. 3) The feedline does not radiate because it is balanced and feeds a balanced load. 4) There is negligible mismatch between the load and the feed. 5) A 1:1 balun at the feed point is unnecessary and. An improper choice of baluns.

Being Aaron Talbott
Sunday, June 03, 2007. Posted by Aaron Talbott at 10:04 AM. Tuesday, February 21, 2006. Back in the Saddle. Lego Star Wars combines my three great loves into one nexus of indescribable nerdy bliss. The Gods realized that I didn't have enough time to obsess over each of these things separately so they created this game. So now I can get a fix of all three at the same time. Thanks!
