Chocolate Pecan Pie - David Lebovitz
http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2010/12/chocolate-pecan-pie-recipe
Laquo; Holiday Recipes. Upcoming Classes at Central Market in Texas ». I’d been planning on making a pecan pie this year for Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, the list of ingredients sent me on a little scavenger hunt around here, as American baking in a foreign country can do. And in spite of my best efforts, I didn’t quite make it. A chocolate-brown rectangular one, which was one of my favorites that I brought when I moved here from San Francisco. One 9-inch (23cm) pie. I often prefer to use chopped cho...

Coco&Me : Market Stall Holder’s Blog. Online diary of a Chocolate and Cake stall at Broadway Market. Laquo; Previous entry. Next entry ». May 10th, 2010. Tommy of ‘This is Naive’. It’s Monday late evening. The children are asleep upstairs & the house has a blissful hush except for the distant humming of the fridge. There’s still washing-up to do in the kitchen from dinner, but instead I sit typing this because I finally have a chance to share with you the exciting news. Tommy is a Super Woman. I didnR...

Encountering God | The Infectious Word
https://theinfectiousword.wordpress.com/2011/11/22/encountering-god
It will change your life for good. To pray ‘O God, reveal yourself to me’ is a very dangerous thing to pray if you are not willing to encounter God. It is a very exciting thing if you pray it with desperation and very soon experience the Almighty Creator and King of the Universe speaking intimately with you. This was my own prayer the week before last when I lay alone in a park crying out to God to show me who He was and who I needed to be in light of that. I can’t wait for the day. Come and fix me.

Beaming Sun | The Infectious Word

It will change your life for good. You are the sun that beams above me. And lights up every inch of me;. That soaks into my skin. So that I feel I am ablaze. Even as I step into darkness. I am made to glow;. Not with radiance of my own. But by that effulgence. Pouring on me from above. May I never stumble blindly in the shadows. But like the men from afar. See the illumination and delay not. I cannot be led to utter darkness. If always I continue to follow the light. The black cannot swallow me,. I love ...

Homemade Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread Recipe (Better Than Nutella). December 19, 2005 at 12:06 am · Filed under Chocolate. If someone offered you portable chocolate that could instantly be spread on bread, fruit, crackers and pastries, how could you refuse? Thus began my love affair with Nutella. A European spread made of hazelnut butter and cocoa. During my days at NYU, I was at a make-your-own sandwich bar when I first tried Nutella with French bread. What a revelation! According to Mort Rosenblum’s.

It will change your life for good. Well, it’s probably about time I updated. Since my last post, I moved out of home, commenced Bible College and devoted an entire week to the learning of New Testament Greek. The next morning, following breakfast, I found a lovely note on my desk from my new friend who had helped me study the evening before, wishing me well and advising me that she had been praying for me. I sneezed my way through Church thanks to allergies invading my sinuses, and later found myself wit...

He Who Must Be Named | The Infectious Word
https://theinfectiousword.wordpress.com/2011/06/09/he-who-must-be-named
It will change your life for good. He Who Must Be Named. Sometimes my notes are a little like the book of Esther. I retell the events of my life without mentioning God. It would be ridiculous though, to read about my life without picturing the presence of God in every story I tell. I trust Him completely because He has consistently proven Himself trustworthy throughout my life. At the end of every trial, I look back and see God’s guiding hand. I can’t even explain to you how stressed, depressed, an...

Flourless Poppy Seed Cake. April 13, 2012 at 5:08 pm · Filed under Cake. Someone explain to me the appeal of poppy seeds. You shouldn’t like them. They get stuck in your teeth. If you eat too many, you’ll test positive for opium (thanks for the lesson, Seinfeld. I adapted this cake from Chocolate and Zucchini. Who riffed on it from Lilo. Clotilde at C&Z calls for almond butter and almond flour. I’m a minimalist and say you can make your own with whole almonds; it’ll taste fresher that way too. In a food ...
