"Summit has been an integral part of ABARTA for two generations," said Charlie Bitzer, COO. "It's unfortunate that the new business model developed and introduced over the past two years did not succeed as we had hoped.". I am pleased to announce that effective February 1, 2015, Bill Holtz has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President, Finance and Administration, reporting to me. Bill joined Buffalo Coca-Cola in 1989 as Financial Manager and in 1994, moved to Pittsburgh to join ABARTA's Finance Group. He became Treasurer in 2009. Bill earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from Duquesne University and his MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Kentucky Prepares for Tornadoes. Storm Shelters Installed at Kentucky Locations. Following the aftermath of the storms that ripped through eastern Kentucky on March 2, 2012, ABARTA heeded the warning signs and made plans to provide safe shelter for employees in case the weather took another turn. Tornadoes killed dozens of people and destroyed many homes in surrounding communities, but the Martha plant and field office had little damage and no injuries.
