The Steaming Cup: Indian Summer
http://steamingcup.blogspot.com/2010/10/indian-summer.html
Prose, Ponderings, and Poetry from a Coffee Drinking Life. Strength to the Weary. Friday, October 15, 2010. November bore a balmy morn. After a week of frost. And recalled September’s golden girl. We’d given up for lost. Nights grow long, yet chill relents,. Though nature’s half undressed. Abuela in a tattered gown,. Hair a graying mess. Winter is a callous aunt,. Summer her glowering son. But in Autumn’s muted madras,. A kind of sweetness comes. Amid the wreck of bloodied leaves. Dennis M. Kirschbaum.

The Lentil Bowl: Been There, Done That
http://andreahoffman.blogspot.com/2011/10/been-there-done-that.html
Observations and confabulations (you decide which is which). Sunday, October 02, 2011. Been There, Done That. I figured out at some point that I tend to try new things, figure out I can do them (or can't) and then be done with them. Mainly cooking kinds of things these days. Last year I made a lot of ice cream and I haven't made any since. I also made a bunch of pickles this summer. Most of them were okay. I haven't broken into the pickled skapes yet. The Lentil Bowl: Boot Camp
http://andreahoffman.blogspot.com/2011/09/boot-camp.html
Observations and confabulations (you decide which is which). Monday, September 12, 2011. Sometime last spring, but maybe even late winter, I stopped going to Boot Camp at my local YMCA. I just sort of fell out the habit. I think I was traveling alot and then had a few meetings those nights, or maybe it was raining, and I just didn't go. I still made it to the gym - I just didn't make it to Boot Camp. It is horrible and awesome at the same time. Because I can run. And I can do push-ups. And I ...
