Published by Michael on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 9:35 AM. I am sitting at my desk, a cool red-number from Ikea that is shaped like a peanut, which must mean that I am studying, but I am going to take a brief sojourn away from Thomas Mann and Robert Frost (maybe a little more Heidegger later for desert) and throw out some observations about the debate last night.

Welcome to the circus. Published by Michael on Wednesday, November 02, 2005 at 8:07 AM. I never liked the idea of hosting a blog, because there was a certain self-importance attached to the concept of publishing thoughts that you expected other people to read. That has changed in the last year or so. My. And several other friends have started blogs, and I love them. I get upset when they don't update them, because it seems to be great way for me to keep up with their lives. All Work and No Play.

Published by Michael on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 8:57 PM. On the grad-school front, I have done something I vowed to never do while I am teaching; I am taking 3 UD classes. I will not go into the justifications I had to go through to convince the department chair that I was capable of doing so, but suffice it to say, this may be the dumbest move I have ever made. Dumb, but, I believe, necessary and beneficial. Hope to talk with you all soon - Michael. Punished for my Sins. He can hardly string togethe...
