Wildlife, a Glance at Kate Middleton and more FOOD… | abbieread

Wildlife, a Glance at Kate Middleton and more FOOD…. This exhibit made me really want to go on a Safari to Africa. After this we went over to Borough Market to hunt out this sandwich place we had tried last week at a different market but it was closed. Instead we found some chicken dumplings from a dim sum tent and I also got a gourmet sausage roll and a really good apple form the organic fruit stand. We also went into the famous Neil Yard Dairy store for some testers of their amazing cheese! What countr...

Climbing to the top of London: Physically and Socially. October 17, 2013. This sounds difficult to accommodate but a quick google search brought up a ton of restaurants to eat at. You can find ANYTHING in London. We decided to call it an early night and get home before the tubes closed (that way we could save money by not taking a taxi). A selfie from the top of St.Paul’s. It was also a different experience being the nose bleed seats! Today was a day full of markets! After a walk through Hyde park we end...

Monthly Archives: December 2013. Well I guess this is it…. I know I have gone on and on about how sad I am to leave London and everything that I will miss but I have definitely had my fair share of homesickness and I am so looking forward to being back home with my family and my animals for the holidays. I also realize that my time in London was not real life and it couldn’t go on forever. So after 12 hours of traveling we finally make it to Prague! So much to see and do! On our way up we stopped at this...

So after 12 hours of traveling we finally make it to Prague! So much to see and do! There were also these old bronze carvings of what looked like religious people doing religious things and people were stopping to touch it. Elena and I couldn’t figure out what the heck it was but we stopped to touch it anyway and then carried on. Once crossing the bridge we entered a really quaint old part of Prague that winds up the hill under the castle and up to the monastery and Loretta. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
A Wee Visit to Edinburgh, Scotland | abbieread

A Wee Visit to Edinburgh, Scotland. When I say a wee visit I mean actually wee. I arrived Saturday morning and left Sunday night. What possessed me to do this? 8221; I jumped up “yes, yes I am. Sorry” as I nervously laughed at my self I boarded the plane while the other flight attendants laughed. Lesson learned: never think you will just close your eyes for a minute and expect to not fall asleep and more importantly don’t book such an early flight! Good god that was ridiculous but we felt like it was som...

Saturday, January 11, 2014. The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. When I began reading The Bone Season. By Samantha Shannon, I entered the process with extremely high standards. Shannon was heralded as “the next J.K. Rowling” by The Telegraph, The Daily Mail. USA Today, Forbes and many other high-profile media outlets. In my eyes, there is no higher literary compliment. Is really hard to sum up without giving too much away, so bear with me while I attempt to generalize. At the moment, I have rather a lot ...

Most recent dystopian novels occur in a future so distant it is almost unrecognizable. That’s not the case with Suzanne Young’s latest novel, The Remedy. This novel is a prequel to The Program. And is set in a world that could be just months in our own future. The Lodger by Louisa Treger. May 20, 2015. June 18, 2015. The Fallen by Charlie Higson. June 23, 2014.
