Is complete at last and our wonderful authors have proven themselves worthy of the challenge as they responded to the One Ring in their own unique ways. For this very special challenge, our authors were asked to write a story in which one of the characters in The Lord of the Rings claims the One Ring for his, or her, own and to show us what happens as a result.

http://mithrilawards.livejournal.com/20613.html
What's wrong with the Mithril Awards? Before we start the 2007 Mithril Awards, I would like to know what needs fixing. On my personal list is finding out why the web forms sometimes fail to post. For most I suspect the biggest issue is that we took too long to finish. Please, post your thoughts. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Random thought of the day: is comic fanfic less interesting than angst? - Teasel
http://teasel.livejournal.com/79712.html
Random thought of the day: is comic fanfic less interesting than angst? There's a terrific children's book by James Thurber called The Thirteen Clocks. Hmm, perhaps I should forget this post and go write some more angst fics. Well, be that as it may (may it? I'm fascinated by this, among other reasons for the purely selfish one that I write both angst and comedy, though comedy is by far the most natural mode for me. But even for me, writing comedy feels - hmmm. Okay. It feels cheap. WAIT! Is it just me?
