a song a hundred miles long: October 2009

A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Live like there's no tomorrow, love extravagantly, lead a life to be followed.goodbye, ordinary! It's not as if I want to say goodbye to ordinary. I am content with ordinary. I love ordinary! But something within me screams "Do something! I'm living my dream right here. Don't push discontentment on me! And what do you mean by "something" anyway?

a song a hundred miles long: Only When
http://jblog08.blogspot.com/2010/03/only-when.html
A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Sunday, March 14, 2010. A poem by Jessica. If love was only a dream. And children who forgot their names. Who gather in spots of rainbow. To show the swirls of prism. If only a story was just so. And I found ginger in your soul. Sweet crystals in my hair. Only send you to find. Another mind to strip of all. And the second we await. The mountains of clouds. Rest of the world.

A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Father, I cry out for you. For all the these years I cried out for other things. And now I don’t expect you to do anything for me. But you’ve shown me I am desperate. In your arms only am I whole. All this time your love pours out for me. And only now do the bells of nothing toll. If you would only lead me. Like I felt you were. Did you leave me? That i...

A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Saturday, January 16, 2010. This poem, such as it is, finally helped me figure out what I believe. Uncertainty has left me and I can walk self-assuredly on my own two feet again. Most importantly, I feel filled with “the peace that passes understanding.” I feel not only like a giant burden has been lifted, but that I now have wings. So, without further ado. Logic is only a game.

The Cat In The Adage: Return of the Random

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Return of the Random. Just putting my hand in the blender again. 8226; Today is the day we would normally be submitting our entries to the Dixie Classic Fair. This year Natalie and I decided to sit out the fair for a number of reasons.mostly related to lack of time to create our usual pile of entries. And cross-stitch a pillow. 8226; My blog needs updating. I'm thinking about changing the background color and adding some headers to the side columns. I'll need to get...8226;...

A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Memories hide themselves in the tar. Easy for things to be forgotten. Each time I walked, 'twas a new street. New joy, new love, new pain. For only a fortnight have I known this pavement. Your hard soul is my solace. For every time we walked together, but I alone. Ne'er again shall I take you for granted. Like the all-seeing eye of the four walls.

A song a hundred miles long. The life, adventures, musings, reflections, curiosities, etc. of a 19-year-old student of the world. Thursday, April 1, 2010. It is with great excitement that I announce my new blog: Life Without College. So far I have two entries and more feedback that I could have hoped for in the span of 5 days, and I am very excited to see where this new pursuit will go. So, check out my new blog, enjoy, and be sure to tell your friends! This was, of course, the best day to announce that.
