Because of that, it’s a good idea to make sure that the gauge you got when you swatched is the gauge you’re getting when you’re actually making your project. After I knitted a bit of the stockinette back, I decided to do just that. Stitch gauge – 17.5 stitches over 4 inches. Row gauge – 25 rows over 4 inches.
