It is in the wild places, where the edge of the earth meets the corners of the sky, the human spirit is fed." Art Wolf. Thursday, August 13, 2015. The Last Miles to Home, Summer 2015. Audrey was happy with her walks. My cousin Barb with her son Randy. This picture if for a friend, Alice Martin, who is a strong supporter of a bikes. Madison is a bike friendly city. It is full of marble and visuals that make you think of some Balducci novel involving the halls of government. I hear echos of the lobbyis...

It is in the wild places, where the edge of the earth meets the corners of the sky, the human spirit is fed." Art Wolf. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Of Crater Lakes and Old Ladies Riding Horses. Attractive arrow head displays on the restaurant ceiling. It was a small restaurant and not much wall space. Com sit for awhile and be glad. But bring your bug spray to be even happier. This was the lake that Mitch's campground was on. She liked her electric and her AC and her views when she walked down to the lake.

http://wheres-liz-2014.blogspot.com/2015/01/year-end-summary.html
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Thursday, January 1, 2015. So I took a little vacation from my year-long vacation and from blogging. Here's how I finished out the year. (I left out the doctor's appointments which aren't over yet, but just check-ups and tests….boring stuff). I have been enjoying my sunrises at the campground in McIntosh, FL. I did some renovations in the RV. This is the kitchen area before:. New dinette cushions and blinds, paint and smart-tiles on the walls.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson's Secret Retreat. While staying at Otter Creek on the Blue Ridge, I took a side trip by car to Lynchburg, VA, to visit a place called Poplar Forest, Thomas Jefferson's well-kept secret. As you turn in the entrance road, you are transported back in time to the late 1700s, early 1800s. You can imagine Thomas Jefferson riding his horse down this lane. In 1828, two years after Jefferson's de...

Where's Liz? 2014: December 2013
http://wheres-liz-2014.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Tina and I took an Eco-Tour to see the gray whales in Laguna Ojo de Liebre. A bus took us from our RV park to the lagoon. We pass the salt flats where sea salt is harvested by evaporation. That is a huge pile of salt. The salt company exports tons of salt that has a variety of uses, most of it not for eating. A beautiful morning with calm waters. Climb in and don a life jacket. This is my best picture of a whale spout.

Where's Liz? 2014: Hillsborough River State Park
http://wheres-liz-2014.blogspot.com/2014/11/hillsborough-river-state-park.html
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Saturday, November 8, 2014. Hillsborough River State Park. Just in case there was any doubt whether there are alligators here. I reserved a few days at Hillsborough State Park north of Tampa to coincide with a doctor's appointment in Tampa and for time to visit family. Big cypress trees grow beside the river, and lots of little knees. We saw some gators from the trail. And I used my kayoo. Did we see gators? This is a mama gator. How do I know?
