Dressed up as a favorite picture book. Inspired by Barbara Cooney’s classic picture book,. I have pledged to “make the world a more beautiful place.” Like the main character, I have found that being a librarian is a fulfilling way to connect people with books and with others and indeed, to make the world more beautiful through these connections. I have been lucky to work in my hometown of Ellsworth, Maine for the past five years developing programs for youth and serving library patrons of all ages.
