The Spud Family: July 2009
http://spudfamily.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 24, 2009. Kirk's brother, Nat, brings a group of FFA students to Washington DC each year and this year Janet and Raven got to come also. They spent the 4th of July in New York and so we met them in Gettysburg to do some sightseeing. Nat and Janet on the observation tower overlooking the battlefields. I wonder if this was what they would have seen from the tower back then? The 3 students from Oregon (including Raven and Nellysa). Just a "cannon and grass" as Kirk would say. In Loving Memory .

Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Here are some pictures that I didn't get sent out with our Christmas cards (. Which we didn't get sent out either, sorry. Anyway, this is a rare moment - we actually have the whole family together, AND we are all in the same picture. We'll work on the smiling thing. See, they almost look as though they like each other. We thought we'd have half with glasses, half without. A Normal Family - could it be? Now I don't need to send cards, right? Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

The Spud Family: June 2009
http://spudfamily.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2009. On Friday, June 19 we drove into Yellowstone National Park. That day was packed with sightseeing and fun. This photo was taken near Yellowstone Lake. The pools were amazing! These pools drained into Yellowstone Lake. We had a big discussion on whether these animals were Buffalo or Bison. From what we could figure out, they are called Bison - American Buffalo. So we just called them " Biffalo. This one walked right up next to the truck .kinda made me nervous :). Kirk at Paint Pots.

Monday, January 17, 2011. Wow, it's been a while since I last updated this blog. I guess it may be due to Facebook and keeping up with that. Anyway, this year for Christmas, Nellysa came home from BSU, and Clancy and Julie drove up from SC. Levi and Shakeara were planning on coming out, but Shakeara ended up in the hospital in SLC and they ended up post-poning thier trip out here. This tree was just outside the ice display. The Spud Family: September 2010
http://spudfamily.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 01, 2010. The main reason we went to Idaho in August was to take Nellysa out to attend Boise State University. I still can't believe she left me. During orientation we were able to tour the dorms that she would be living in. She was so glad that she didn't have to live in the dorm that she stayed in during orientation. This is one of the dorms. There are two towers that look alike. This is what a typical room looks like. There are two rooms that share a bathroom. You can leave now Mom.
