If you were wondering about Cat attack plans, this clip says it all! Fruit and veg in colour! Not very inventive but the latest project insisted! My Cat is very patient! I say this because her meal times do tend to be rather erratic. Quite frequently (I'm ashamed to say! I am often so engrosed in drawing or painting something that she gets fed up meowing at me asking for food and instead resorts to just siting as near as possible to me, giving me The Stare (you know the one! E had her last meal! Its by E...

a-again: Updated abstract
http://a-again.blogspot.com/2009/05/updated-abstract.html
My second abstract attempt and I'm very pleased with how this has come out. I'm still a bit undecided as to whether this is totally finished so I'm going to put it away for a few days. Hopefully when I come back to it I'll find I'll know whether to keep working on it or not! My first abstract, finished. Unfortunately I find I'm not so pleased with this as I was originally, but I still enjoyed doing it, which is of course the main point! 3 June 2009 at 07:24. 21 July 2010 at 19:15. So long since I last posted! I can't believe how long its been since I last posted! And have I been busy in that time? Well, probably not in comparison with some, but a new job has taken my concentration for the last three weeks or so until this morning, when I realised how much I'd missed picking up a pencil or a stick of pastel! This was the result. A2 orange cartridge paper, pastel, charcoal, coloured pencils, markers and ink. And this is just another sketch which I find very pleasing to look at. ...

Feeling a bit harried by the time I arrived, my initial three, 15 minute sketches, arent worth showing you, in fact they are a bit embarrassing to say the least! But the main sketch of the evening, which took me about an hour, is something I'm extremely proud of! I do tend to see some of my efforts through rose tinted glasses, especially just after I've done them, which means I dont always see glaring errors, but in this case I dont think there are too many (at least I hope not! So here it is. Also I wil...

Very pleased with this, general opinion of those that have seen my drawing next to the photos I was given to work from, have all agreed its a good likeness. Result! I've been asked to do a pencil drawing via a work colleague, of a freinds son and so far it's a nightmare! This is the third attempt, only partially complete, but fingers crossed it will actually end up being a fair likeness. I'll post again when its finished. Some other pieces this year. Charcoal on watercolour (sold). A very new experience!

A bit of fun with one of my OCA projects. A break from figure drawing definitely! As its rained all day, my escape from the dreary . But I couldnt leave it floating on the page after all! Just a bit of fun, which I got totally emersed in, listening to some great music and all in all I had a great time!
