Dairy of a Random Kid. Some days we wake up hungry for words. Some days we wish the world could be muted. Some days we find ourselves in total darkness. Wishing for a glimpse of light. Some days we’re fully surrounded by light. Our eyes open but our minds shut. Days when even the air we breathe is filled with opportunities. But we would rather close our eyes and pray for miracles. A brief history about Sheikh Abdul-Salam Barzani. In 1907, Sheikh Abdul-Salam and other tribal leaders met in Brifkan village to outline administrative changes for the Kurdistan region. He sent a historic message to the Ottoman government and asked for the rights of Kurds. The message was as follows. To make Kurdish the official language in Kurdish areas. To make Kurdish the language of education in Kurdish areas. To appoint Kurdish-speaking governors and other employees of districts and sub-districts.
