Abe in Malawi 2009. Journey with me through posts and pictures. The Side Effects…Dreams. Man, I woke up this morning feeling extremely tired! Crying in my dream. My alarm was set this morning to 5:30am but I didn’t hear anything until I woke up at 7:30am! Anyhow, I’m never scared of my dreams. Sometimes, even the really bad ones are sobering to something that I’ve been neglecting in my life. For example, when people in my dream die, or I die, it puts in to perspective again. I came across a video that touched me deeply but also haunted me (check it out if you haven’t already, it’s called Invisible Children). The video helped me to tune in a bit more to the issues of gross injustice in Africa like children soldiers, hunger, AIDS, clean water…. I’ve dreamt about meeting my sponsor child Daniel! I realized so much during this retreat regarding the attitude we should have towards serving. An emphasis of the retreat was knowing Him and loving Him, and letting go of the bars (whatever they are) and allowing God to catch us and direct us.Worship was awesome…. yay NOC worship team! Retreat was overall very very awesome. X for Christ, Y for Y-malawi, Z for Zebra Steak!
