The Knudsey Family: 2012 Bits
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012/12/2012-bits.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Monday, December 31, 2012. The New Year is just hours away. In the quiet moments that mingled among the preparations and festivities of the last couple weeks, hopes and intentions for 2013 have started to take shape in my mind. And excitement has taken root. There is so much possibility in the next 365 days. So it is with a full heart that I look back over photos of 2012, sharing some here as lovely little pieces of the year. The Knudsey Family: Oh So Gratefully
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012/12/oh-so-gratefully.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Monday, December 17, 2012. I struggled this weekend with balancing between a heavy heart and seasonal joy. The tragedy of last week is still incomprehensible to me. I didn’t read much about it, because the media is miserable, but also because even the most generic of articles was too much for my tear ducts. That kind of loss is just unfathomable, and the ache of the nation is evidence of that. I also read some really touching and encouraging words from other bloggers who are much ...

The Knudsey Family: Nana & Grampa’s Tree
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012/12/nana-grampas-tree.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Nana and Grampa’s Tree. While we were in Vermont, Abel was treated to a special tradition – going to the Christmas tree farm to pick out his Nana and Grampa’s tree. In past years, it was usually my sister and I that joined our dad for this task, often times trudging through a foot or more of snow to find the right tree. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Knudsey Family: September 2012
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Thankfully, I think it was just the shots exacerbating whatever he already had going on (I’m guessing mean teeth fighting to cut through) and it seemed to break quietly just before his afternoon nap, so he was pretty well cooled to normal by the time he woke up. Monday, September 24, 2012. I fueled the happiness fire with time spent outside. Abel and I took two walks today, one this morning and one in the afternoon. I soaked in the...I really enjoy ...

The Knudsey Family: Twinkle Twinkle Little Tree
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012/12/twinkle-twinkle-little-tree.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Twinkle Twinkle Little Tree. This year’s tree is short and is being held up straight by fishing line. But it’s got a great shape and I really think it’s one of my favorite trees to date. There aren’t a lot of fragile ornaments this year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t special ones. In fact, some of the most important, nostalgic ornaments we own aren’t breakable. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). More From Christmas Morning. Simple template....

The Knudsey Family: Just Days until Christmas
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012/12/just-days-until-christmas.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Friday, December 21, 2012. Just Days until Christmas. Late night tree glow. Oversized pajama pants. Two sleeping boys. Remarkable peace. And then I went to bed and tossed and turned and woke up out of a dream this morning. Abel was still sound asleep. Casey had gone to work hours earlier. Speaking of Monday and Tuesday, I’ve got a project in mind. Inspired by the Ten on Ten project. I hope to post my photos on each respective evening, but we’ll see how things go –...

The Knudsey Family: July 2012
http://thepieandapronlife.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Family of Reading Nuts. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. The Kitchen Gets a Facelift… Like a Clown. Earlier this year, I became quite unimpressed with our kitchen. The walls, which were still a flat construction white color, had become super dingy. They wouldn’t clean well and were only getting worse with time and cooking. I kept telling Casey I wanted to paint, but he insisted we wait and do a tile backsplash, something I thought was too high cost. I chose an octagon pattern, which involved taping squares and...
