A Bend in the Book. Thoughts of an English Major. Do I really want to have to settle for a career that has nothing to do with my degree like my brother did? Some other opportunities have also been given to me recently. Ones that I am extremely excited about. Next semester I will be working with one of my professors on an Encyclopedia he’s compiling as his assistant. He’ll give me a byline in the book and everything! How cool is that! November 13, 2012. A Bend in the Book. Thoughts of an English Major. Archive for March, 2013. Circlular logic, it’s the only way I make decisions. There are a lot of things that are bouncing around my head these days, and the most prominent of those is, what the heck am I going to do after graduation? I want to move closer to my family so I can watch my nephew grow up. I can probably find work out in Montana, but the problem with that is it it going to be work that I will actually enjoy? So where does that leave me?

Tomorrow I have a meeting with my adviser about grad schools and stuff, and I’ve already sent out a few applications for jobs. Hopefully I can finish my applications within the next few weeks and then send out some more applications and then i will have something to do after graduation. Fingers crossed! January 17, 2013.
