DHL UK Foundation's Outward Bound mentoring programme. Hi welcome to my blog. This is a new experience to me on so many levels. I hope you will follow my journey as an Outward Bound Mentor for the DHL Foundation. I have also been challenged to raise a minimum of 500 to contribute to The Trust’s General Bursary Fund. DHL UK Foundation's Outward Bound mentoring programme. October 18, 2010. Having now come home and slept in a comfortable bed – it has given me time for REFLECTION. Although I found it very hard at times I want to say thank you to all the Mentors for making it a fun week, and I hope that we do all meet up for a reunion at some point. DHL UK Foundation's Outward Bound mentoring programme. October 12, 2010. Team Gwyant - after Expedition and Kayaking. The kids arrived around 13:00 hrs – full of energy after long coach journies. Once the had been given their sleeping arrangements they were then put into their teams with their instructor. My team is Gwyant. The instructor is Chuck and he soon got the kids organised. After breakfast all the Mentors were taken around the site to see all the obstacles and challenges that the kids would do either in part or full. Later around the site we did The Wall – OMG! The quayside is gently buzzing during the summer season with children crabbing, eating ice cream and generally having uncomplicated and traditional family beach holiday fun! The village's beach is excellent, given the Blue Flag award in 2005. The beach stretches for four miles up the coastline, perfect for a leisurely stroll, taking in the fresh air.
