Shepherds Cottage and Maes-y-deri. Our self-catering cottage sleeps 2 in a simple but cosy. Environment. There is a large living room with dining area and a wood burning stove (wood nearby).There is a double bed on the mezzanine floor which can be used as two singles if required. There is a TV with DVD/CD in the comfortable sitting area, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, dish washer, washing machine, fridge and microwave. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin. Dogs, 10 each.

Tyn-y-bryn means House on the Hill in Welsh. We are situated on the Deri which is one of the foothills of the Sugar Loaf at the end of a rather steep driveway. On leaving your car in the yard there are 5 wide but shallow steps leading up to 4 more steps that open onto the path leading to the cottage. About 25 yards along there are 9 steepish steps which bring you to the door step of the cottage there is a hand rail on the left. All the doorways are standard width. Car park in Abergavenny.
