http://emmabrettsophiesam.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 15, 2008. Very happy with this Tin Whistle bag. What a wonderful free tutorial! Was so much easier than I thought it would be! Its the same size as the green supermarket bags, just much prettier. Can see myself making many more of these as gifts. The photos really don't do it justice. Although the handles look kind of wierd in the photo they are actually perfect! Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Flipsy skirt and top. Monday, August 11, 2008. Emma: Madeline dress
http://emmabrettsophiesam.blogspot.com/2008/10/madeline-dress.html
Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Here is the Madeline dress and I love it. I used Tula Pink fabric which I just adore. It is actually for my niece Phoebe but I was eager to blog it and not sure when I would be able to get a photo of Phoebe in it so Sophie will have to do for now! I will definately make another of these! I also made a matching little hair tie. Very cute. I love the fabric. You picked perfectly. October 7, 2008 at 10:23 PM. October 7, 2008 at 11:42 PM. Emma: Meeting my sewing friends!
http://emmabrettsophiesam.blogspot.com/2008/09/meeting-my-sewing-friends.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. Meeting my sewing friends! Last week I was lucky enough to meet 2 great friends, Lisa. In Ballarat for lunch. We had a great time chatting away over lunch and then doing a little shopping afterwards. Here is something I made them to thank them for their inspiration and encouragement! The tutorial is here. Now I just need another one so I don't have to take it with me between the machine and the table where I cut. Thanks again Emma, you're a gem. September 30, 2008 at 12:51 AM.

Emma: Some shorts for Sam
http://emmabrettsophiesam.blogspot.com/2008/09/some-shorts-for-sam.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. Some shorts for Sam. I love these shorts. The pattern is burda 9793. I love the little pockets in them. Couldn't get Sam to model them for me (I can't blame him - too cold for shorts)! I think I will make another pair tonight - there are a couple of things I need to perfect! Feels good to make something for my little boy for a change! Now I DEFINITELY need to go get this pattern. Fantastic! September 30, 2008 at 1:01 AM. October 1, 2008 at 4:08 AM. Oh they're so cute!

Monday, September 29, 2008. Sam gets birthday mail! Wow, we are so lucky. Last week was Sam's 2nd birthday and we were so suprised when we recieved a parcel from Lisa. Inside was a gorgeous robot, hand sewn onto a cute bonds t-shirt. Perfect fit and he loves it! Thanks Lisa, you are so generous. Speaking of Lisa, we also received one of her fantastic art bags. Sophie is always asking to go to a cafe so she can use her art bag. Not sure why she can't use it at home? I'm glad everyone liked their goodies!

Emma: October 2008
http://emmabrettsophiesam.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 16, 2008. Two of my sewing buddies, Lisa and Ellie are both making quilts and were eager to see photo's of some of mine so here they are! The 2nd one is an "I spy" quilt. This one was also easy but loads of fun. You collect as many novelty type prints eg butterflies, bugs, faries as you like and then once its made up you play "I spy" or a version of it if they are little - eg who can find a butterfly? This was made way back when Sophie was a baby (so almost 4 years ago)!
